Good value, great location

rooms very basic as most reviews say. Location fantasic and well worth the money with bars and supermarkets close by. fantasic coffee shop at the bottom of the rd selling local coffee excellent! A number of beaches close by and other locations are just a reggie bus away. Barbados is an excellent place with great people, Halcyon palm lets you experience this at a good price.

beaches are avalible for free and there is plenty to go round, exclusive sandy lane complex is just at the bottom of the rd, and there is public access so you can swim and use the same beach as the like of Daniel Craig, Tiger Woods and Rianna

chilled holiday with friend

When we arrived we thought it perhaps a little basic as we have only been all inclusive in Barbados. Once settled in and been to the supermarket we realized it was very convenient and friendly and the beach and shops were not far away. We enjoyed the food from the white vans which was very reasonable, and an easy stroll in the evenings to Just Grillin, and Angry Annies Bar, Zaccios and lots more. We also ate in sometimes which was great sitting on our balcony in the sun. Wendy at Travellers Palm reception was really helpful and informative. I wouldn't hesitate to use these apartments again. We hired a driver and went on an island tour which was brilliant. Spent most of the time in the sea and walking on the beautiful beaches, as have been there several times before

Holiday with best mate

Absolutely amazing. The location was perfect 2 mins drive to beach and shopping mall. Internet wasn't great but hey whom needs it when on holiday and they didn't charge us for it at the end so happy days. The rooms were cleaned every day and the cleaner even did our washing up which she didn't have to!! The beds were comfy and storage was good. Kettle was dodgy but we boiled water on the stove, hey we improvised. Any one on here that gives this hotel negative reviews is a fool!! It was a fantastic holiday for little money. The staff were beautiful and so helpful, we were given a choice of three apartments on our arrival, how amazing is that!! We are two very happy bunnies and we will be back and use this hotel again for sure.

Good Value

This place is a gem located near the bus route and easily accessible if you don't want to rent a car. The staff was friendly although they told us that they would charge us much more if we wanted to pay them for the rooms directly as opposed to online!! There were a few European guests at the place, but not the overly annoying types! They were smokers, but were mostly considerate about not inflicting us with their European fumes! Place is quiet, nice and was not child infested at all during our stay! We gave it an A+

Take the Speightstown bus from the airport directly and ask to be dropped off at Sunset Crest. 5 minute walk from the main road in Sunset Crest.

a very tired resort needing a lot of work

We stayed at this resort when it first opened and then it was cleaned daily by ample staff and a very nice place to stay perfectly located for us as we are divers. This is why we returned but unfortunately it has gone downhill fast. The room was very dirty when we checked in(for example there was an empty durex packet under the bed-nice!!) and only cleaned once in the 8 days we were there even then we had to ask for it to be cleaned. The pool had a rather nice layer on top of the water so needless to say we never went in. I believe the pump wasn't working. I don't blame the staff as there weren't enough of them. When we asked for sheets or towels we got them immediately and also any problem with the room was fixed almost straight away. Needless to say we will not be returning there in the future. We have been going to Barbados for over 25 years and normally stayed in St. James and Sunset Crest area. A lot of the 3 star rentals seem to be going this way ie very nice initially but are not looked after very well. We will still be returning to Barbados but will have to find somewhere else to stay.

Use the local food wagons, local freshly made good food at a very good price. If you want a special meal and are prepared to pay Tides is excellant. Also at the other end of the scale Just Grillin' is very good and also does takeaway.
