Beachfront apartments offer a prime location and gorgeous sea views
This five-story apartment complex gets rave reviews for its prime location on a secluded beach, well-maintained facilities, personalized service and spacious, modern apartments. White Sands Barbados features 22 one- and two-bedroom units with fully equipped kitchens. A 540-square-foot pool features a large sun deck and Roman columns that enhance the entire building facade. White Sands Barbados is situated at the eastern end of always-happening St. Lawrence Gap, so bars, clubs, restaurants and shops are never in short supply.
Highlights
- Private covered parking
- Three-bedroom penthouses with private plunge pools and two terraces
- Amazing sea views that stretch to the horizon
- Prime location near restaurants and nightlife
Location
No one blames guests who do nothing but lie on the soft beaches just steps from the White Sands Barbados. But do not forget the island also has some of the best attractions in the Caribbean. Without straying too far from their home away from home, guests can visit the Graeme Hall Nature Sanctuary for a serene lakeside picnic. A bit further afield, St. Nicholas Abbey is a 350-year-old plantation house with its own rum distillery.
Rooms
Each White Sands Barbados apartment features sea views and the relative seclusion of a high-end beachfront property. Expect basket-weave furnishings, soft cream cushions and clean, spacious bathrooms. Kitchens are equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and mosaic tiles. A stove, a refrigerator, a toaster, a microwave and a coffee-maker are included. A terrace is perfect for dining and entertaining. Cable television and Internet access are included in each White Sands Barbados suite.
Dining
For guests who like to cook, the fully equipped, modern kitchen in each apartment makes it easy to prepare at-home meals. But guests cannot eat in every day, especially when The Gap is full of everything from casual Bajan eateries to top-notch international cuisine.
Within walking distance of White Sands Barbados, Luigi's Restaurant is considered by many to be "the" Italian restaurant on the island. Start with the Parma ham and cantaloupe and move on to homemade lasagna, fried lamb cutlets or a local fish filet.

Perfect experience
The WSB was the perfect hotel and location for what we were looking for. Great staff if needed, couldn't ask for a better location on the beach, and clean and beautiful rooms. A store is located just on the corner where you can buy all the food and drinks you want. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel!

Excellent Island
We stayed a the White Sands Barbados (WBS). It was a great villa get away. Immaculately maintained with extra security. The pool was small but cozy and never really occupied. The beach was also intimate and the palm trees offered the perfect natural shade. Our villa was a 2 bedroom and was so large that I got tired walking from one area to the next so I mainly stayed on the magnificent terrace, which was so large it held a couch , 2 chairs, and a dinning room table. Buy some groceries and enjoy this accomodation.

Short drive from hotel
This island is robust with nature and has so many sights to see. I thought my kids would be bored but they enjoyed every excursion, whether we drove accross the island or went on a catamaran snorkeling trip. Cool Runnings is definitely the best operation on the island.

White Sands Beach - Excellent
We were met at the door, shown the entire property, delivered to our room and given a tour of the room and an explanation of how everything worked - where things like stores and such were. That was great. The atmosphere at the hotel was very private - there were no crowds, the beach was secluded and very private (and clean, and beautiful) . There are no hotel'ish amenities like a hotel restaurant, concierge, front desk - but trust me - you won't miss them. Lots of eating possibilities a short walk away (recommend: Luigis - 5 minutes away and great). This was more like renting a private condo for a week. Definitely would go there again.

Paradise - delivered in SO many ways!
It doesn't get any better than this! We had a beachfront 2-bedroom apartment, exclusive beach, beautiful sunsets... I can't say enough good about it! The management went out of their way to make the experience perfect! The apartment was clean, modern, relaxing, quiet - all with arguably the best views of the island! Add close, safe, WALKING proximity to excellent restaurants, nightlife, watersports, surfing school and so much more that you couldn't ask for a better place to stay on your vacation!

Nice, but did not live up to the hype...
We booked this villa after reading near flawless reviews of White Sands Villas. Unfortunately, expectations fell short and the villa did not live up to our expectations. Our "sea view" was more like a sliver of the ocean -- and the parking gate for the parking would loudly squeak open and closed righ in front of our balcony. The master bathroom was awkward as it did not have a shower, and the second bathroom with shower had pretty abysmal water pressure (almost short of dribbling). As for the location of the villa, we frequenty heard loud music as late as 3 AM from local clubs blasting their "music" as we tried to sleep. One important thing to note about the service is that our room was only cleaned once during our 5 day stay (to be expected with many of these privately owned villas, but something to mention nonetheless). On the upside, the staff was very friendly and and the beach was beautiful. Just watch out as it's very rocky - this was found out the hard way with scraped/bloody knees just a few minutes after our first swim. Overall, this is a solid 3 stars - but very far from the excellent reviews we read prior to booking.

This place is absolutely Breathtaking!
The White Sands is very modern and beautiful. It is situated on the beach, making the views spectacular. The beach has soft white sand and water that is the most intense turquoise I've ever seen. The villa we stayed in was very clean and spacious. We loved the French Doors that lead to the large veranda, and having a few drinks there at the end of the day was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked, which is great to make some meals and save money. There is a small market nearby to purchase food, wine, etc. and the surrounding area has many shops, restaraunts and bars. There is a little beach bar located right next to the villas. This is a perfect place to have a drink, meet locals and other travellers and watch the sunset. Barbados has the most incredible weather, lounging by the pool, enjoying the sun and warm breeze while cooling off with a quick dip is a must. [...] make your stay very accomadating and hospitable. Their friendly, easy going style make you feel incredibly welcome. This was truely an amazing island vacation and we would definetely go back.
