Cruising from Barbados
The Experience does not match the settin
Upon first glance, the Accra prsents a beautiful setting for a vacation and you are taken away by the sights of the pool with the ocean in the background. But the visual experience is the best of the stay. The Accra was plagued with extremently low water pressure in the shower and the lack of hot water. Phone calls to the front desk resutled in no action and complaints to management were were met with a lack of concern. The cost of the room would indicate that you were getting into a good hotel, but do not be decieved. The rooms, while functional, are nothing special and the on-grounds resturants are expensive for pedestrian food. We stayed only two nights, getting to Barbados to recover from the flight in anticipation of a cruise. This is not the place to stay.

[...]...please google reviews about this hotel. The hotel is well positioned on the island, but staff and hotel accomendation was the worse I've been apart. I have plenty of example and should known better, reading the BAD reviews prior departing. I will not stay at this hotel again, rather spend the money for a nicer place (Hilton)

Good Service and Good Location
I was in town for business, so I only got the chance to briefly enjoy the facilities. The staff was friendly, rooms are clean, has a nice beach area with a few ameneties and very close to restaurants, bars and clubs. For the Price it was worth it

Ok for the Price, nothing fancy!
Food prices on the Island were very high, the food is low quality for the price you pay. It will cost $100 (USA) for 2 with 1 cocktail & entree only. The beach & sea were great, although the beach doesn't get racked & cleaned, so you find debris on it. The hotel staff wasn't overly friendly, and it could take 10 to 15 minutes to get a drink @ the bar. They don't make the customer a priority.

Average service
No water sports offered on a beautifully contoured beach Had one problem with room not having a conventional electrical output in the bathroom, service desk played phone tag with me for at least 15mins until telling me they had no adaptor available for use.

Acceptable
We got an island view room which was misleading as it looked over a major roadway. Restaurants and bars were nice but expensive compared to others in the immediate vicinity.

Typical hotel for the islands. cheap comforters on the beds and horrible mattress, but clean environment. nothing special. There is NOT a hot tub as the website says, and the ice machine on the 3rd floor has been broken for 3 years according to our housekeeper. so we had to go down a flight for ice. pool is nice and beach chairs are free. Probably one of the best beaches in barbados. Typical slow island pace with hotel, bar service...order 2 drinks at a time cause the wait is long. hotel breakfast buffet is alright but not worth 25 american dollars. but for the money the hotel was a good deal for the island. Just remember that everything opens late and closes early in barbados, even the shops closed at 5pm!!
