Well needed Vacation

We found that the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are kept clean and presentable. Pools are not large but due the job and the ocean with the waves was fantastic. The only down part was the plumbing. Water pressure and temperature in the shower was lacking. Overall I'd recommend the Accra.

Barbados Beauty

The Accra Hotel exceeded all of our expectations. The staff is friendly, the grounds are gorgeous, and the location is great (10 minute ride from airport). The beach is conveniently located walking distance behind the hotel along with the boardwalk and restaurants. There is a mini plaza across the street where you can buy souvenirs, coffee, ice cream, pizza, etc. The Accra has two pools, one with a built in bar and the other for adults only (no children). The drinks and food were fairly inexpensive compared to other vacations we have been to such as Turks and Caicos since in Barbados $1 US dollars equals $2 Barbados dollars. If you plan to eat at the restaurants located in the hotel be prepared to wait as service is slow and restaurants were fairly crowded. Overall, hotel offered great accommodations and location was wonderful!

Great getaway on the beach

The Accra is a nice, well run and attractive hotel on a very good beach and with a large, pretty pool. It's well located on Barbados' south coast close to services and many dining options.

Great getaway

We had a great stay at Accra. The beach is first rate, the rooms were very clean, and the restaurants both good and affordable. We also appreciated the proximity to other restaurants and stores in the St. Lawrence Gap area. Staff was generally very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be coming back to Barbados, and will likely stay at Accra again.

nice, clean hotel in a great location

on the positive side, staff were friendly, hotel was spotless, the beach was a stone's throw away and the location in general was great. on the negative side, the rooms smelled slightly musty, entertainment was not great and staff were a bit slow, but overall a good hotel

Summer Getaway

Staff was just okay....nothing to write home about. Room was clean. The Beach was lovely. The AC untis need new filters or a cleaning. Good location and a quick ride to the Gap. The Food at the resturant was okay but expensive...many other places eat with better food and less expensive. The hotel was not crowded so very quiet and nice.

10 Day N Barbados

Hotel was nice, food was expesive but you can walk to many differnt resturants in the area to get good food that is not quite as expensive. For the most part the hotel staff was not extremely friendly but did their jobs with keeping the hotel clean and presentable. The first room we were given had a mildew smell so we asked to move. they finally accomadated us after about an hour. Other than that the stay was good. The beach was nice and clean...not super crowded like other places. I give them a 4.

Couple, on a weeks vacation

The location is great, offering privacy and seclusion right next to the busy nightspots and some great restaurants. The rooms were spacious and clean, if a little basic (4* must be a local rating and not international). Overall good value, and would certainly return to this hotel, as it appears to be one of the best in that area.

Nightlife tip: Short drive from hotel

For a night out try the Gap (St Lawrences Gap), but on a Friday night you must go to the 'fish fry' in Oistins - great food, low cost, with a lively party atmosphere.
