Location, location
It's my 2nd year and will be back next year. For the money, you get more than what you pay for. The location itself is worth it and the staff was very helpful. Accra is on the Rockley beach and near everything; nightlife, restaurants, open food court accross the street for a quick bite and a grocery store that has everything you need (including alcohol). The only negative is no wi-fi in the rooms.

buy beer and alcohol accross the street at the grocery store and bring it to the beach instead of getting drinks from the pool (it helps if you have a small packable cooler for ice)

Great Hotel
Just a short taxi ride from the Airport. Location is great, right on the beach and plenty of chairs and umbrellas put out by staff as needed. Boogie boards available at pool for use on beach for free. The beach had nice waves for body-surfing or boogie boarding. The room was very nice, we had were not particular about the view and the cost was very good compared to some of the more expensive resorts. Would definitely go back again.

Great Holiday Getaway
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Accra Hotel this holiday season. The beach was fabulous and the hotel is close to shopping and restaurants. The staff was always helpful and polite. The Chakra spa was not bad either if you are looking for more relaxation. Ohmmm!

Short Family visit
Proximity to beach was paramount - doesn't get any better. Accra Beach (= Rockley) is just gorgeous. Able to sleep with sliding door open and hearing the surf and feeling the breeze! Being familiar with Barbados (maternal family is from there), I thought things were a bit expensive, but for eats we always go across the street into town. Great convenience store in plaza across the road. Eat Roti when you can - Chefette, Roti Hut or Ackee restaurant. Staff mostly helpful, kind, patient with my teenagers who barely got out of the room in time for the housekeeping's last call. Upon arrival, there was free Great cake, plus tote bag and cap with hotel name. MOST IMPORTANT - clean beach and great waves (not as violent as Crane Beach, but surfers seem to like it). Me and the kids? we just get in the water until sunset... but there were a lot of others lying out for a tan or whatever. Nice activities, pools and pool bar

Good value
We thought that the Accra Beach was a very good value for an island that seems to get more and more expensive every year. We also thought the food at both restaurants was excellent and competitive with the many restaurants in the area in both price and quality. The location was very convenient to the action in St. Lawrence, if that is what guests want. The beach was nice and the water calmer than our timeshare's beach on the rougher east coast.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
For runners and walkers, the new, beautiful oceanside boardwalk is only steps away from the Accra Beach. It is only 1 mile or so, but I ran 6 lengths each morning to make 6 miles and was never bored as you are literally running over the ocean surf. There are several restaurants on the boardwalk, but we were happy with the quality and value of the food within the Accra.

Would Return
I've stayed in several hotels in Barbados but chose Accra this time around for it's central location. Rooms were comfortable but hallways are dark and hot. Front desk and guest services were friendly but pool bar staff were unfriendly and extremely slow to even though we were the only guests at the bar. I would return to Accra but will keep my drinking to bars outside of the hotel.

GLAD I DISCOVERED A PLACE better than the Hilton
I enjoyed my stay and felt it has a great location, with loads of activities, restaurants and strip mall quite close, plus a public beach also. The only problem I encountered was the room. I paid for a beach front room but upon arrival the staff stated I had NOT. The rooms need clarification between Orbitz and the hotel. Also, the hotel has NO SMOKING which is not mention through Orbitz. The food is not great but there are plenty of restaurant to choose from. It was a wonderful hotel and the staff goes above and beyond to accommodate guests!

[...]...please google reviews about this hotel. The hotel is well positioned on the island, but staff and hotel accomendation was the worse I've been apart. I have plenty of example and should known better, reading the BAD reviews prior departing. I will not stay at this hotel again, rather spend the money for a nicer place (Hilton)
