Beautifully peaceful & secluded but not for everyone
Our kind of resort but not necessarily everyone's. Laid-back luxury, peace, and quiet. There were good reasons John Travolta stayed here with his family - you feel as if you're in your own private enclave, no party or group scene, no "activities," everyone is friendly, unaffected, but private. No need to get dressed up, wear makeup, etc. Oceanfront jr. suites are updated & have comfy king bed, kitchenette, washer/dryer, ensuite marble bath, and plenty of storage. Linens need improving. Bungalows are the look here rather than the typical cookie-cutter "resort." You get the sense that you arrived at the end of the world. If you like privacy, beachcombing, relaxation, and an un-resort-like atmosphere, you will like it here. If you need to be coddled or get bored after an hour, you won't. Service is quick and good without stuffiness. Beach bar is where guests gather, otherwise everyone's on their own. Dinner restaurant is not the greatest but sometimes very good, freshly caught fish & Bahamian side dishes, good service. Overall this place is a secluded gem.
