- Treasure Cay Beach
- Treasure Cay Beach is the most sparkling natural feature on the coastal regions of the island of Abaco. "Stunning" is the word for this 3.5-mile stretch of powdery white sand, matched only in brilliance by the turquoise water colors caressing its shore. Treasure Cay Beach was voted one of the Caribbean's 10 best in recent reader poll of Caribbean Travel & Life. "There are no pictures that can prepare a visitor for the awesome site of this beach; its size, its white powdery sand and those beautiful blue waters. All that and there are no crowds, there's plenty of room to create your own private oasis."
- Treasure Cay Golf Course
- Play a round of golf on the 72-par, 6,985 yards, Dick Wilson designed golf course. There are NO TEE TIMES NECESSARY! The front nine runs parallel to the ocean at the north end of Treasure Cay Resort and plays relatively straight forward with two par fives of 555 and 500 yards from the white tees The back nine is tighter, requiring more precision and thought with slightly more water in lay. A couple of duck ponds (with interesting wildlife) represent minor hazards, particularly on number 11, a 515-yard par 5. Despite its length, the course at Treasure Cay can be played inside three hours. Golf carts are available and the course is generally un-crowded.
- Treasure Divers
- Action-oriented experiences include snorkeling and scuba diving with Treasure Divers, a newly refurbished, re-equipped PADI certified dive operation specializing in a variety of adventures. Divers experience a labyrinth of reefs and formations to a number of ship wrecks and caves. Each dive trip includes a guided underwater tour of the dive site on the world's third largest barrier reef. In many locations the reef rises to the surface, so both dive and snorkel excursions will experience the underwater world together. Non-divers are welcome to ride the boat. For those individuals on private or chartered vessels, arrangements may be made for a designated dive or snorkel rendezvous spot. Night, wreck, shark and dolphin observation dives are offered along with inland blue holes of Abaco.

Holiday Getaway with Friends
It's unfortunate that this hotel keeps such unhelpful individuals at their front desk as the location is terrific and the local area people are so kind. The hotel rooms are in need of a facelift and the bed mattresses have seen better days but we weren't in our rooms much so it really wasn't a big deal.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Go to the cafe de Florence (bakery) and have a cinnamon roll. Awesome! These folks are also so friendly and their other offerings - macaroni pie, fritters, baked goods are terrific as well.

Sibling Getaway
The hotel staff was outstanding. The room was a great buy for the price since relaxation was top of my list. The bed and sofa bed was comfortable and clean. The patio overlooking the marina was a great way to see the sunrise and sunset. The beach is walking distance with white powder sand and beautiful blue, green water. I will visit again.

Money-saving tip:
In Hotel
The food is quite expensive so buying groceries in a nearby store require that you plan a menu and cook in most of the time. Also, a phone jack and your personal computer will save you $$$$. The phone calls are quite expensive.

Treasure Key Resort - not a repeat trip
Horribly disappointing. Our room had bugs and a strong odor of mildew/mold. The property was run down (lawn not cut, weeds on room patio, patio furniture in disrepair, etc). As we sent in off-season, the rental concessionary for water sports equipment (kayaks, etc) was closed and there was limited meal service & menu selection.

very restful.........
Very restful and tranquil hotel.........rooms were alittle small, AC was not under our control...First room had no ambience, after complaining , they moved us to water front rooms, much nicer.......Beautiful marina, very pleasent and accomadating hotel and resort staff. Limited options for meals...selection on menu scant and repeats itself.....beach accross the street. All that said, great place to go away and reflect and read and rest from a busy New York sched.

A bed and a bath
Treasure Cay marina is an older property that is starting to go to seed. The bathroom was bit grubbier than I would have liked, and the room airconditioner unit made quite the racket. We stayed in a groundfloor harborside room that felt a bit exposed as we were on an alleyway between units. There was a chaise lounge and chair for the front porch that we wouldn't have used because of the exposure but for the fact that for all intents and purposes the place was deserted. On the positive side, we were literally a stones throw from the water (maybe 10 yards) and the sunsets were spectacular. The cleaning staff was pretty good, the check-in staff were so-so. The food choices are quite limited. We had a fun Christmas dinner (buffet style) and a horrible pizza on pizza night (still a happening event, go for the crowd but get a small pizza). The beach is spectacular, it's on the other side of the island but only takes 3 or 4 minutes to walk to. It is a great island and there is lots of water fun to be had. We didn't come for the room, it was just a bed and bath for our beach adventures. If you're looking for swanky, keep looking.
