Perfect Kids Vacation

There is just no better place to stay in the Caribbean with kids. Its action packed and there is so much to do there is never an ounce of boredom. Rides, slides, rivers, jet skis, beaches, water activities, movies, crafts, boats, its never ending. It's really fun for all ages because they have tons for adults to do too. The water park is outrageous fun and dolphin cay is worth every penny. Pro Tip: Have your taxi driver stop off at the grocery store on your way in so you're not paying $3.50 for cans of coke. Save yourself a fortune.

Love Atlantis!

Great vacation place and there's something to do for everyone regardless of age. Royal Towers is the central tower and the best one to stay at since it's in the middle of everything going on!

Awesome vacation

This is our first time to Bahamas. We stayed in the Atlantis resort in the Royal Towers with Harbor view. We requested a connecting room and two beds for each room. We got exactly what we wanted. Most staff members are friendly. Food is expensive. Be prepared to pay 7.5 VAT and 15 gratuity on all food. Within Atlantis resort, there are many buffet restaurants, we tried several and the Market Place restaurant is the one we enjoyed the most. The water slides are VERY fun and you will not get bored of it.

Atlantis experience

I was so excited to visit Atlantis for the first time. I booked the Royal Towers months ago. When I arrived, I was told they had no rooms meeting my two bed requirement and they were moving me and my friend to another tower down the road. Although we could get to the main towers and almost anywhere by shuttle, if I wanted to stay in another tower, I would have booked it. I was furious. They gave us an upgraded room, but I was still so upset that I did not get to stay in the towers that I booked and the main area. My friend had arrived hours before me and accepted this move without argument as she did not know that my heart was set on the Royal Towers. Definitely changed the exciting vacation I had saved for. As far as I was concerned, there should have been no question or problem with a reservation made months ago.

Disappointing!

My husband and I have visited The Atlantis several times and have always enjoyed ourselves. This trip was to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and brought our 3 year old. This was by far the worst vacation I have ever taken. The grounds are beautiful but the rooms are run down(our door lock was broken and falling off the door, safe broken and tv fuzzy). Not to mention the rudest staff I have ever encountered. I am assuming because tips are automatically included in every bill they feel they do not need to make any effort at all to be hospitable. The food was not only horrible in every restaurant but way way way overpriced. We will NEVER return to this hotel again.

Birthday trip

May 2015. Stayed in the Royal Towers, but I think the less expensive towers would have been fine. Went with three friends to celebrate my bday. We never left the resort, there's no need. Swam with the dolphins, snorkeled with the sharks and rays, saw a comedy show, enjoyed the water park etc... Definitely want to go back. No need to rent a car. Took a taxi from airport for $39.

Great!

We thorougly enjoyed our stay at the Atlantis, the facilities and staff were great. The only down side was the lack of local food available..we had to leave the hotel to sample the Bahamian culinary delights. I also though it was poor that the free wi-fi was only available for the first 24 hrs our your stay. I think this might be common practice in the USA but for European visitors this is a surprise as most hotels have free wifi for guest if not everywhere at least in the reception.

Great family vaca

Our family enjoyed Atlantis very much. The WiFi is not very strong, so don't count on it to keep in touch during the day as the kids move from pool to pool to slide to slide! The hotel room was very clean and nice, but we honestly didn't stay in there very much - there are many things to do and see, and it's a wonderfully warm and sunny vacation! The only downfall were the cruise ships coming in...each day, at least 3 or 4 cruise ships would come in with more people and then the slides would have really long lines and there were no tubes for the river ride available until the cruise ships would leave. Now, if the park would stay open until about 9:00 pm, it wouldn't have been an issue - the kids would still have time to play. But, the slides didn't open until around 11:00 each day and then they would close by 5:00, so the cruise ships ruined it for us many days after they arrived around noon! Overall, though, it was a fun vacation.
