      Best buy on Paradise Island

The best part is that you get to use the aquatic park area, swimming pools and use of towels at Atlantis without paying the higher prices staying at Atlantis. It's only a 10 minute walk to the beach and it's a great location for restaurants and shopping. The rooms were adequate and clean. I would recommend this to any friend.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There are a lot of places to eat nearby within walking distance but they are a little pricey on Paradise Island as compared to going to Nassau. But the food was good and a nice variety. Comfort Suites has a restaurant but we didn't eat there for no particular reason. The continental breakfast was nice considering the high prices of food.

If you are feeling adventuresome, walk across bridge into Nassau and eat at one of the fish shacks underneath the bridge. We ate at Mckenzie Fish and Chips, best conch salad made fresh in front of you.Only open at night. Very authentic and inexpensive.

Good only if you want the Atlantis

The hotel room was ok, a little dingy and dark, but the location was great. The staff was warm and helpful. The breafast was really just toast. Only a good palce to stay if you plan on spending the entire trip at the Atlantis.

Eat at Bimini Road in the Atlantis Marina Village right across the street. It was not as horribly overpriced as the $55 hamburger meal we ate for 2 people at Johnny Rockets. Also had a great atmosphere for families or couples.

      Great place to stay.

This was a great hotel for the price. It was within walking distance to a first class resort of which we had privileges to use. The staff was very nice and helpful and the rooms were very clean, comfortable bed. The free breakfast was a plus.

There is a Quiznos within walking distance of the hotel behind Anthony's resturant. Anthony's had great food, less pricey than the resturants in Atlantis but still run $30.

All of the Atlantis Resort 4 1/2 price!!

Very clean and large rooms for a fraction of the cost of the actual Atlantis Resort...plus all their amenities were free of charge (waterpark, movie theatre, beach access)...just to name a few! Food there was a little pricey though at about double the price of what you pay in the states, but this is mainly due to the fact that they have to import most of their food along with the fact you are staying at a tourist resort...Overall though we give the experience an A+

      unbeatable location for the price

We have visited the comfort suites twice now - mostly to take advantage of Atlantis priveleges that this hotel offers. We found the hotel accomodated all our needs, and really appreciated the breakfast provided. Our rooms were basic but more than adequate.

      Good location

The hotel was clean, but starting to show its age. Overall, we had a great stay. The hotel is a short walk to the Atlantis resort. You need to keep your "room card" at all times to access parts of the Atlantis or buy anything without cash/credit. It's really convenient as long as you don't forget your card. The hotel charges extra for pretty much everything. There is an energy/maid surcharge applied to every night you stay of $35. They also charge $2 for safe rental. There is 1 internet ready computer that charges $1/5 minutes. The prices for food/drink at the Comfort Suites & Atlantis are quite expensive. Be sure to allow for that. A tuna sandwich (really yummy) was $16. The dinner buffet at Atlantis was $46 per person. A 15% gratuity is automatically added to every bill, including drinks. However, this is a much cheaper alternative to sleeping at the Atlantis resort.

I was disappointed at the lack of nightime activities at such a nice resort. Besides the casino, there was very little to do after dark.

      Comfort Suites Paradise Island

Comfort Suites at Paradise Island had an amazing location just across the street from Atlantis. My friends and I mainly just used the hotel as a place to change clothes and sleep. The continental breakfast wasn't anything elaborate, but at least we could grab a coffee and bagel before hitting the resort.

So close, but just far enough away!

We went as a couple on our honeymoon and thought it was great. It was also a great place for kids too. There's a pool and a nice area around it. There is a continental breakfast included which was fantastic because meals are very expensive on Paradise Island and this was one you didn't have to worry about paying for. It was typical, bagels, danish, waffles, coffee, juice, fruit and ceral. Perfect for a busy day that lies ahead. You have full run of Atlantis, which was why we chose to go there. This proved to be priceless for us. Comfort Suites is right across the street and it's incredibly easy to go back and forth from your room to Atlantis many times a day. It was also nice to be able to retreat back to our hotel and get away from all the action at Atlantis. We loved it and plan to return next year!

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Within 5 minutes walking, you're in the Atlantis. You can be on the beach or at any of the pools or water park after walking some more. There are many restaurants, walking paths, aquariums, water activities and points of interest. Bring your walking shoes and a camera! Beware though, meals are very pricy thoughout Paradise Island.

      Atlantis attractions at reasonable price

I loved the hotel. Free armband access to Atlantis was great. With this, you could do Aquaventure water park, hot tubs, all Atlantis pools (except Cove Adult-only pool), Casino. 2 Quick notes: 1. All the free stuff like waterparks and such close at 5pm and then only the shops, casino, and restaurant are open later than that. 2. The casino has no poker room, but the rules are actually very friendly for a resort destination. The table games have limits from $15 to $500 Upon check-in, there is an $18/per person/per night fee ($12.95 energy surcharge and $5 maid gratuity - these just increased), so we were hit with a $107.70 bill right away. Still, this was cheaper than staying at Atlantis. I will stay at this hotel every time I go to Paradise Island. No reason to pay Atlantis prices. Also, you can fill up on the complimentary continental breakfast in the mornings, and avoid Atlantis' OUTRAGEOUS food costs. Quick note, too: the restaurants and bars of Atlantis do NOT accept cash, and most credit cards charge for use outside of the country, so I do not recommend eating at Atlantis (it's also very expensive). We took a cab ride from the airport ($40 each way) and stopped at the grocery store in Nassau (you really should do this) and bought ham, bread, cheese, cokes, chips, etc. and ate in our room most nights. This was a great money saver. I would recommend that everyone does this. We also had an extra checked bag, so we flew out a case of water (buying water on the island costs $7-$8 a bottle). The cheapest you can eat on the island is $15/per person. We ate at Johnny Rockets 2 nights, but sandwiched the other meals, and it was $30 for those take-out burgers. Another thing to note: Bahamas is a tax free country, but all food establishments (and everything else for that matter) adds automatic 18-20% gratuities to your bills, make sure to check your bill for this. We were able to go 4 days and 3 nights with flights out of New Orleans (food, taxis, and all other random taxes, fees, and costs included) for less than $1500. It was well worth the money, though. Atlantis is the most beautiful place I have ever been, and their water park was a BLAST!
