The Perfect Luxory Resort Vacation

We had high expectations for this well known resort yet; our trip was so excellent from many perspectives that all ideas of the place were surpassed. The imaginative theme and exceptional marinelife exhibits were wonderful...we were engrossed the entire time and as an artist and daughter of Architect found this to be the best resort I've ever visited. My daughters found it so great with more than we could do in the time we had but the effort to get most of the sights and fun areas seen was terrific.

Something for everyone

I took my 13 year old niece and my girlfriend went with me. I am a shopper and the other two are truly water people. This accomodation was satisfying to everyone. The room was nice and comfortable. The availability of deck chairs was great. I was very surprised at the friendliness of the staff. I have traveled to the Bahamas before and didn't have very pleasant staff. The variety of restaurants was awesome although some were quite pricey. Don't mind spending the money if the food is great. Easily accessible to downtown Nassau.

Family Friendly Resort

There were 10 of us ages 2 to 62 and something for everyone! I would definitely recommend for all ages! Water, water everywhere; slides, splash pools, kid play pools, wading pools, lagoon and of course the beach! Buffets offer everything and all of the food is very very good equal to the service! The restaurants have superior service and large portions too! My kids loved club rush the best! The rooms are large and the bathroom is huge! Mini Balconeys in the Royal Towers were especially great to watch the sunset (or sunrise). An empty mini fridge would have been nice! Everyone seems to go out of their way to be extra nice! Will go again and again!

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

Taxi or ferry to Nassau. Many, many shops but liked the ones down the side streets with lots of bargains. Straw market okay for hand made straw items and purse knock offs but MUST haggle!

There's a good reason why it's called Paradise Island

The Atlantis Resort is amazing!! Yes, it's pricey but worth every penny. Since the new addition of the Power House, which contains numerous new slides, a lazy river, which is by no means LAZY. It has a current and rapids, great fun for everyone. The slides are awesome you hae to be 48 but ther are baby slides and zero entry pools for the smaller kids even babies. FUN FUN FUN for everyone. They hae in house baby sitters so you can play at the casino, if you can afford it

Good for family with kids

The room was big with two very comfortable queen beds. Althought it was a long walk from the Royal Towers to the Lobby and the rest of the restaurants and shops, but it was quite enjoyable. The hotel staffs were very friendly, unlike the way some reviewers commented, perhaps it was because we were there in the low season. The pools and rides were fantastic, my husband loved the thrill rides so much it made me feel like I was traveling with a teenager. My 21 months old daughter loved the kid pool too, she also loved the beach. FOOD- very expensive, but the best food we tasted was at The Cafe, just beneath the Lobby.

My review of Atlantis, Paradise Island - Royal Towers

I found the Royal Towers at Atlantis beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The village was nice as well. My daughter and I really enjoyed the pools, beach and activities offered. Although some were very expensive and not quite worth the money. What I wasn't too crazy about was the food at the hotel and village. I found it a very expensive. There should have been a few restaurants outside of Atlantis within walking distance. Anywhere you wanted to go you had to take a taxi. And that can become very expensive. All in all, I would definitely recommend the Atlantis hotel because of its breathtaking scenery, and friendly staff.

Great vacation getaway for family

Stayed at Atlantis for 8 days with family. Myself, my husband and two children 17 and 13. Had a wonderful time--stayed in Royal Towers. Next time, probably would stay about 5 days. Tryed to get an ocean view room, but they told me not available. Had a room with a harbour view which was still very nice. Cove beach is absolutely beautiful--clear waters and beautiful surroundings. Food was good--very expensive. Would not do the meal plan. Eat a sensible breakfast and maybe splurge for dinner. Would recommend a few restaurants outside resort. Went to Cplumbus Tavern Restaurant across the bridge from Atlantis--very good food. Try the conch chowder. Also went to Greycliff for dinner. Very expensive but absolutely delightful. If you want to splurge you must go there and see this beautiful hotel.

Seafire Steakhouse at Atlantis has the best conch chowder. Also, the casino is a wonderful night spot. The kids can go see a movie at the theatre. Try Bobby Flay's Restaurant--littly pricey but excellent food.

Expensive and worth it!

If you're going to the Bahamas, especially your first time, you have to do it right and stay at the Atlantis. Goregous pools, fun slides, the beach, expansive marine habitat, beautiful dolphins, jetskiing, and coral reef snorkeling, are all available and what vacationing on an island in the Caribbean are all about.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

Nightclubs and gambling are available, too. Everything is within the complex, which can take 20 minutes to walk it's so vast.
