Beautiful, perfect place in paradise

The Atlantis Royal Tower is a wonderful place to stay in the Bahamas. Everything that you need is there. Free innovative waterslides, fabulous aquariums everywhere, a dozen pools, great restaurants from formal to buffet to grill and bar, easy access to casino and clubs, lots of beach access, great, friendly service. I stayed with a bunch of girlfriends. I also have a toddler. I think this is a perfect place for all ages and types of vacationing parties- family or wild friends. It is expensive. There are many additional fees(housekeeping, checking-out, etc.) There is no tax in the Bahamas, but at Atlantis, all items purchase have an automatic 15% gratuity attached.

Unique in all the world

The hotel experience was unique and unforgettable... in a good way. The staff is caring and polite. The only thing we didn't like was the loud music played at the pools. It was much too loud and made it difficult to converse at times. The rhythymic beat was annoying when that was all you could hear in the distance when not sitting at the pool. Less noise.. more quiet, soothing music now and then would be good. Or, what's wrong with just plain quiet? We came to relax and the constant loud music made that difficult at times. Everything else about this resort is fan-tas-tic. If you're older, as we are (in our 70s), don't be afraid to ride the rapids in the big tubes. It's not dangerous and it is a hoot. It made us feel like kids again. There is no need to leave Paradise Island. Our shopping experience in town (Nassau) was negative. It's a lot cleaner than it used to be but there are few interesting shops and unfriendly personnel. Do your shopping at the Atlantis hotels or at the airport.

"Great location and view,friendly staff"

We stayed at this hotel because of its location and access to the pools and beach. The view from our room was exceptional and the staff was friendly. Our room was even upgraded when something we requested was not available. The manager was pleasant and accomodating. We would definitely come back again and stay at this hotel.

Atlantis - Royal Towers

Aside from being very clean and spacious, there was so much to do, plenty of amenities (poolside food service, plenty of chaise lounges, towels, space), beautiful grounds, very helpful staff.

There were both gourmet dining and less expensive dining available. Would have liked a better selection of places to eat breakfast and a greater variety of food types on site.

Beautiful Hotel...crazy dining

This is an amazing property. The initial room that they gave us was moldy and had a view of the dumpsters and roof. We were able to upgrade to a much nicer room after we went back downstairs to voice our concern. The amenities are great.. The dining is outrageous..extremely expensive (buffet for 2 is $115!!) Chose a meal plan if possible...also if you are looking for a quiet get-a-way do not chose this resort...1000's of screaming children, definitely not a romantic spot!

Fantastic family getaway

Although 15% tips were included in the price of the room and in the price of the restaurant meals, the service was always excellent and friendly. The Royal Towers rooms (West side) were the closest ones to the waterpark and aquarium adventures, a real plus for a family vacation. The meals were expensive, but it was possible to split meals and still be satisfied -- which means that we were able to economize. Casino was small, intimate, friendly.

Fantastic Family Getaway

We mostly just hung out at the pool and the waterpark. We have been there 4 times before so we didn't go on any tours or do extra things. The kids loved the waterpark and Club rush, a club for teenagers. They looked forward to that each night. It gave them something to do so my husband and I could do something. The food is expensive, but the kids always want to go back each summer.

We always go downtown to shop. We take a taxi which doesn't take long. We liked to look at other places on the way to downtown. There is the market place or you can walk to many other shops. That is where we always buy our sourvenirs.
