Atlantis is amazing, fun, beautiful!

We had a great time at the Royal Towers. The room was beautiful, the staff were friendly, and the view... well, it doesn't get any better! We had so much fun, rode the water slides, loved "the current" water ride. We handmade glass dishes. The digs were an incredible creation of the lost city, the sea life was breathtaking, I couldn't believe how many animals we got the privilege to see so close up and personal. We are planning a family vacation there this summer!

Paradise at its BEST....but you pay for it!!!

Overall a great time at The Atlantis. We stayed in the Royal Towers East Side. Was a great central location on the property. Buffets are yummy but pricey. Ate at MESA Grill which was a great meal with 5 star service and a 5 star price too, lol. Rib eye steak was amazing there. Also ate at Bimini Road, which was a great casual restaurant. The sandwiches are tasty and the spinach and artichoke dip is a must. You can grab a quick breakfast across the street from the marina village at the Dunkin Donuts. There is also a liquor store there to buy bottles of alcohol or wine to save on resort prices. Buy bottles of water there too b/c its way cheaper than on the resort. The water slides rock. Do them all and take the adventure river all the way around, its worth it!!! Pools are the best areas to hang during the day because there is music, food, and drinks all very close. Beach was okay but the locals constantly bother you trying to sell hair braiding, massages, drinks, and hand made goods. We did the dolphin encounter which was really fun. Also snorkeled the reefs which was amazing swimming with sharks and stingrays in the big aquariums. Casino is a good size too but we didn't gamble. Also has a few nice lounges/bars for night goers. We also took the water taxi over to the Nassau area for the markets. Wasn't anything great but had a good fresh fish sandwich at Sharkees Bar. Overall, expect to shell out some money for a good time, but its worth it.

Awesome vacation!!!

This place was amazing!!! Definately pay a few extra bucks and stay in the Royal Towers. It is centrally located to everything. We requested a high floor and stayed on the 18th floor facing Dophin cay. We had an awesome view of the resort, ocean, dolphin cay and where the cruise ships dock all in one and it was amazing. You can watch the dolphin jump, here the sea lions, and hear the cruise ships sound off. The food is expensive but you can inexpensively feed the whole family at the Quiznos reasonably otherwise bring your wallet!!!! If you have kids, pack snacks. Also, there is a liquor store just outside the resort, tucked in a shopping center behind the habor where you can get soda, water and beer very reasonably. Pack a soft side cooler and you will save big time!!!

Bring soft side coolers for room and beach and get water, sodas, and beer at the liquor store in the shopping center at the end of the harbor. Also, Johnny Rockets, Quiznos, and Virgil's Barbeque and all excellent and reasonably priced otherwise dinner for a family of four will be well over $150;( Splurge on the room and activities but you can keep the meal and beverage budget in check if you bring breakfast bars, and snacks and eat at these resturants. Save you money for a good meal back home;)

More than Just Sunning

The Atlantis Resort can satisfy a variety of different desires in an island vacation scenario. There are many options to choose from and they continue to increase over the years. The new water slide and tube ride were a pleasant surprise beyond the existing activities and amentities. The staff is very friendly and well trained in providing comfort for the guests. I do recommend in going there off-season unless you really like getting up at 5AM on vacation to guarantee yourself a chair at the pool. The beaches are pleasant; some flotsam was observed and could be better maintained. For body surfing, this is not the place. With the fall of the dollar the food costs have escalated disproportionatly to the housing costs, be prepared. Off site dining or even taking a taxi into Nassau is a good option if lower cost - casual dining is desired. The on location restaurants are great and the better value for on location meals are the lunches by the stands at the pools - try the cracked conch!

Atlantis-Paradise on Earth

The resort was larger than we imagined and even on day three we were discovering new areas. The pools and water slides were enjoyed by our two 18 year olds who also appreciated that at 18 they could get into Club Aura and hang in the casino. Great liberation for these young college freshmen. The pool areas were outstanding for relaxing and the spa was one of the best I've been to. The yoga/stretch classes were not too good. But the fitness center was more than adequate. One of our best trips ever since everything was so contained within the resort. A little pricey for food but as long as you're prepared you will enjoy it.

Don't get the dining package for teens who want to sleep in...we'd grab cereal boxes or pastries with milk/juice and leave it in their rooms for their 1pm awakening. Breakfast is inexpensive and good at Murrays Deli...paid the same for a full breakfast there as a continental at Plato's Bar. Expensive but worth it: Dune at the One & Only Beach Club. We had the Chef's Tasting and it was in the top 5 meals we've ever eaten...and we are foodies !

Superior Experience!

Our Atlantis vacation was amazing! Upon arrival, we were upgraded to the West Tower, 19th floor facing the water. It was centrally located to everything!! The entire staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. Our 7-day stay hardly seemed adequate to experience all the amenities: Aquaadventure, the Dig, Casino, Comedy Club, the theatre, beach, gardens and so much more. We even got to attend the red carpet premier of Ugly Betty.

Atlantis--The Cove

The best resort I have stayed at. The entire Atlantis property was spotless. Beautiful grounds and hotels. The staff was very accomodating and courteous. Everyone we encountered on the trip was very friendly and nice. Loved the security of the property. We were actually upgraded to the Cove from the Royal Towers without a fee. Incredible room and even better view. I have read reviews contrary to this about how unfriendly the people were and how they were not accomodating. Complete garbage!! If you have a bad experience at Atlantis, its your own fault!! You are obviously not a happy person and are looking for something to complain about. The food and the drinks are a little high on average, but not that out of line compared to other resorts or vacation spots. The waterpark was very cool. Overall it was a place that had plenty of things to do, but also a great place to hang out at a pool or on the beach and just relax. Definitely recommend the Atlantis to anyone who doesn't mind spending a little more money and definitely will be back.

On thing I would do if you are going to stay for several days would be to go downtown to the grocery store and buy food and snacks for the daytime. It would save a little money on food and then get reservations ahead of time for the restaurants for the evenings. There are plenty of places to grab a burger, pizza, hotdog, etc. around the property, but gets a little old after awhile. Ave. $12 per meal per person.
