Atlantis - Royal Towers

Aside from being very clean and spacious, there was so much to do, plenty of amenities (poolside food service, plenty of chaise lounges, towels, space), beautiful grounds, very helpful staff.

Fantastic Family Getaway

We mostly just hung out at the pool and the waterpark. We have been there 4 times before so we didn't go on any tours or do extra things. The kids loved the waterpark and Club rush, a club for teenagers. They looked forward to that each night. It gave them something to do so my husband and I could do something. The food is expensive, but the kids always want to go back each summer.

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

We always go downtown to shop. We take a taxi which doesn't take long. We liked to look at other places on the way to downtown. There is the market place or you can walk to many other shops. That is where we always buy our sourvenirs.

ATLANTIS-PARADISE ISLAND VACATION

We stayed at the Royal Towers which was really nice. The rooms were ordinary. Many of the staff were unfriendly. The cost of food and souvenirs were unbelievably overpriced. However, it was in a good location, had everything you want to do. But next time, I would sacrifice hotel spend it on activities. Island Adventure was super.

Atlantis-Paradise on Earth

The resort was larger than we imagined and even on day three we were discovering new areas. The pools and water slides were enjoyed by our two 18 year olds who also appreciated that at 18 they could get into Club Aura and hang in the casino. Great liberation for these young college freshmen. The pool areas were outstanding for relaxing and the spa was one of the best I've been to. The yoga/stretch classes were not too good. But the fitness center was more than adequate. One of our best trips ever since everything was so contained within the resort. A little pricey for food but as long as you're prepared you will enjoy it.

Dining tip: Not Applicable

Don't get the dining package for teens who want to sleep in...we'd grab cereal boxes or pastries with milk/juice and leave it in their rooms for their 1pm awakening. Breakfast is inexpensive and good at Murrays Deli...paid the same for a full breakfast there as a continental at Plato's Bar. Expensive but worth it: Dune at the One & Only Beach Club. We had the Chef's Tasting and it was in the top 5 meals we've ever eaten...and we are foodies !

Family Vacation

Beautiful resort with many pools to choose from. The Aquariums and Preditor Lagoons are amazing ...filled with so many types of sea creatures. The resort is huge, and there is alot to keep you busy during day and night. I recommend eating by the Marina Village (least expense).

Atlantis, Paradise Island - Royal Towers

The Atlantis is THE place to go if you have teenagers who love water! The pools, water slides, etc are great for teens. The lazy river is unsurpassed and beyond compare to all other hotels! The beaches are clean & no soliciting is allowed...thank you Atlantis. The Royal Towers are central to all activities, restaurants, etc. The elevators are super fast and you never have to wait longer than a minute for one! This is such a plus compared to other hotels where you wait forever and then when the door opens - it is full! All employees of the Atlantis are amazingly friendly and it is obvious that they appreciate vacationers. THANK YOU Atlantis employees! I have read many reviews concerning the cost of food...be prepared, the restaurants are expensive, but the quality and quantity of the food is great. Do not worry if you forget anything...the sundrie shops carry everything and the cost of toothpaste, hair care items, etc are just slightly higher than in the USA. My daughter and I really enjoyed the little shops in the Marina...the prices are really comparable to the USA. In closing, the Atlantis knows how to treat their vacationers right...we will definitely return for more Bohemian hospitality.

Wake early and enjoy the sun because it rains almost everyday (according to the employees) usually around 2PM. We had an early breakfast and enjoyed the pools & then at 10AM the slides & lazy river open & you will be there first (helps with lounge chairs also). Also, remember to get your arm band when you pick-up your towels...you need a new arm band every day. The employees are always wiping the lounge chairs and removing towels and cups left behind by other vacationers...very nice to have a clean environment when you are trying to relax. Many food places around the pools, so no need to walk very far for food or beverages.
