Salmonella Poisoning

I received Salmonella poisoning while eating at a restaurant at the Atlantis between the dates of 12/1/12-12/4/12 and was taken to the hospital in the Bahamas to find a bacterial infection that was causing the issue - normally from undercooked food. I can not figure out which restaurant it was but it made my final 3 days at the Atlantis unbearable causing us to check out a day early. Beautiful place - horrible experience.

Be ready to pay for everything

this place it's a paradise, the scenery it's amazing, the only downside the cost, be ready to pay for everything. want internet pay $20 for 24hours for a spotty signal that averages about 1mb/s, athletic club, fee, local phone call, fee, everything has a fee. eating there it's extremely expensive as well. other than that the place it's great.

Fun beach resort

We spent seven nights at the resort and overall had a good experience. It was a little disappointing that a good number of the dining establishments were closed during our stay. We really wanted to try a few of the restaurants which are reopening next month. Virgil's Barbecue had some great drinks, our favorite was the watermelon margarita. The spa was ok, my therapist kind of sucked. The spa director was pretty nice though and offered to give me another massage to compensate. All in all, I would recommend this resort.

Beautiful, clean, relaxing vacation spot

The hotel is great, the pools and lagoons and food options were terrific. Staff was very friendly, but the place is so big that and they did not always give clear dirtections as to how to get where. We actually had trouble finding covered beach chairs after 10 am at the pool and beaches. Lot's of activites to do, places to walk around and jkids activites galore. Mostly not really nickel and dime charges. Many sites and activities free oand a few under $35. Dolphin swimming and scuba diving $150 and over. 2 complaints 1) We did find signs of bedbugs at the initial room assigned to us but the staff quickly gave us another room when we let them know. 2) the TV in the room didn't work properly.
