Left the snow for the beach

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Upgraded to Coral Tower. Room was clean but the balcony needs cleaning and painting. Food was good but expensive. However, Atlantis does offer a meal plan which helps. I enjoyed complimentary movies and tours. I went to the library and the casino. Of course, the beach. The trip was great.

Amenities are amazing!

This hotel is amazing! I would definitely go back. I think for the price of the room, the room could be better. However, the treatment and amenities blow this out of the water! I got to the hotel and had issues with my bank card and could not make outbound calls on the pay phone. The Blackberry network had crash and my cell phone was not working. I needed to call back to the US to get my debit card situation straightened out. For some reason it was not swiping.... (One thing to note is they need a hefty hold on your credit card or debit card so make sure you account for this) The concierge took their time to help me make the phone calls and get everything straightened out. I wish the front desk would have been this accomodating or directed me to the concierge. The lady at the baggage claim helped me to locate them. They even upgraded my room to a water view because I had such a negative experience during check in. Staff is always extremely nice and friendly (always greeting you).....Except maybe the bartenders in the club Aura, they were rude. They made sure you felt like a tourist! I was a little disappointed in the Mesa Grilll (Bobby Flay's restaurant) I thought the price was expensive for the average quality of food. The aquariums, waters slides, beaches, pools, and spa are definitely worth checking out. Loved the spa experience, so worth it! I also had lunch one day at the Reef pool and thought the food was expensive, but not that great. I do recommend Carmine's, that was an amazing and well priced meal for several people! Everything is family style. I also thought a hotel of this scale would offer a shuttle, as taxis are pricey to and from the airport for one person.

Expensive, but so nice!

The resort is an expensive place, but as a solo traveler, it was worth it. Definitely worth it for an ocean view room! The resort was maintained well, bed comfortable, and beaches beautiful. The majority of staff was wonderful, but a couple people I encountered upon check-in were not so helpful. The Beach and Coral towers pools were closed when I went, so I did a lot of walking to get to the main pool area. If I were to stay again, it might be worth it to splurge on staying at their Reef tower.

Atlantis Hotel Bahamas

Hotel is too big. Requires alot of walking. Only good for entertaining children. Not too good for adults. Too noisy. Food is very mediocre quality and extremely expensive. One apple cost $3.50, one small glass of franje juice $10.00. Stuff is friendly. Location is nice. Defifnitely for enjoyment of kids NOT adults. They charge $15.00 per day to rent a small fridge, to empty min bar there is a fee of $20.00

Go for it

The beach tower is the "lower" priced end of the Atlantis Towers. Its just as good as all the rest - clean and comfortable. The down side is you have to check in at the nearby Coral Tower which is a 5 minute walk away! Then drag your luggage over....need a taxi?? you have to walk back to the coral tower....Mind you there is a perfectly good lobby and center at the beach tower. Not sure why they did this but it did get very annoying after awhile.

Though its not legal for taxis to carpool. Its is completely ridiculous to have an entire van just for oneself.I did find someone at the airport going to the same place and we split the fare which would have been $40.

Fantastic Vacation Spot

Atlantis was more than I expected. I went there just to have a nice vacation and had a wonderful adventure. The rooms were nice and the hotel had an assortment of dining options (though some restaurants were overpriced for the quality of food). I especially enjoyed the Marina Pizzeria, the pizza was fantastic and the price was appropriate. The beach and pools were fabulous and much more than I expected. I would recommend Atlantis for individuals and families looking for a relaxing vacation or a fun adventure.
