Great Christmas Vacation
Enjoyed the resort and hotel. Family had a great time. Lots of things to do. Booked a snorkeling trip that was lots of fun. Older hotel but clean. Ran out of hot water one day; however, since it was Christmas most rooms were taken.

Great Family Vacation
The hotel was located close to the beach. Lots of activities for the kids. Food expensive but we were glad we stayed at the Atlantis. The overall atmosphere of the resort was spectacular even though we stayed in one of the older hotels on the resort.

Amazing Time
We spent 5 nights and they were like the most amazing time that me and my wife spent in our life. We were there for our Anniversary. We almost found everything we needed inside the hotel and we didn't need to go out alot. everyday we were discovering something new that we didn't see. We love the weather in Bahamas, views in the hotel, hospitality.

Amazing
Upgraded to the Coral Tower. All staff spoke everytime we passed them either in the hallways or outside. Very friendly and accommodating. 98% of reviews were negative about the high cost of food...I personally did not think it was any higher than it would have been at any other resort of this caliber. I more and likely would not take the food plan again, however if you have a number of children up to the age of 12 it would be a savings. For two adults, not necessarily so. All in all a feast for the eyes and a Mecca for anyone interested in marine life and the ocean.

Amenities are amazing!
This hotel is amazing! I would definitely go back. I think for the price of the room, the room could be better. However, the treatment and amenities blow this out of the water! I got to the hotel and had issues with my bank card and could not make outbound calls on the pay phone. The Blackberry network had crash and my cell phone was not working. I needed to call back to the US to get my debit card situation straightened out. For some reason it was not swiping.... (One thing to note is they need a hefty hold on your credit card or debit card so make sure you account for this) The concierge took their time to help me make the phone calls and get everything straightened out. I wish the front desk would have been this accomodating or directed me to the concierge. The lady at the baggage claim helped me to locate them. They even upgraded my room to a water view because I had such a negative experience during check in. Staff is always extremely nice and friendly (always greeting you).....Except maybe the bartenders in the club Aura, they were rude. They made sure you felt like a tourist! I was a little disappointed in the Mesa Grilll (Bobby Flay's restaurant) I thought the price was expensive for the average quality of food. The aquariums, waters slides, beaches, pools, and spa are definitely worth checking out. Loved the spa experience, so worth it! I also had lunch one day at the Reef pool and thought the food was expensive, but not that great. I do recommend Carmine's, that was an amazing and well priced meal for several people! Everything is family style. I also thought a hotel of this scale would offer a shuttle, as taxis are pricey to and from the airport for one person.

Memories of Atlantis, Paradise Island
Pricey, especially the restaurants, but the food is good. The staff was very accomodating. Be careful with private tours, they can take you in circles and generally will take you to shop where their friends are so check your route before you get in. The resort offers an experience that is unique and it is worthwhile staying in Atlantis rather than somewhere else if you want more than beach. If traveling with someone who is physically disabled, transportation is available, make the concierge find it for you. Loved the place all around and felt safe.

Carmine's was the best priced in our opinion because the dinner is served family style. The food is delicious, and the service was great! No need to get the meal packages the hotel offers, because there are different priced restaurant on the resort and within walking distance.

Be Prepared!!!
My wife and I stayed at Atlantis Beach Tower the week of Sept. 19th. The resort was close to deserted. The pool, Lazy River and all restaurants were closed we have to assume due to a lack of business. We had to walk to other pools on property and other restaurants. The prices at the restaurants are not just outrageously high but are a rip off. Buffet breakfast was $26.00 EACH, lunch $42.00 EACH and dinners were $50.00 to $65.00 Each. A small bottle of water was $6.00 at the shops. We ended up eating at Johnny Rockets where hamburgers are $14.00. The meal for the two of us was $38.00. Drinks at the pool are whatever they wish to choose that day. One day a screwdriver was $9.00, the next day it was $14.00. Friends of ours took a taxi to a local grocery store and purchased a case of beer, the beer was $42.00 and the taxi ride was $48.00. Last trip for us ever to the Bahamas. Orbitz reservations were the best. If you plan on going, bring LOTS of money.

Not worth the money
Traveled with 8 friends for my bachelorette party, and wish I had chosen another location. Overpriced food and beverage. Unfriendly and not very helpful staff. Had property stolen and security personnel were rude and dismissive. Key card never worked, had to go back to front desk to fix it every time we went back to room. Ended up with outrageous room charges due to the lack of organization with the key card system, and they were not removed at check out. Had to call Amex to dispute the charges because hotel had no way of proving that they were not ours, simply because someone had charged it to our room. They have not control over the charges made to the rooms, so not only the bar/restaurant/store people make $$$ mistakes, but also ANYONE can charge stuff to your room if they know the number. There were at least 5 guests with similar issues at check out.
