Christmas Vacation Wyndha
Wyndham Hotel Bahamas
This hotel is considered a resort; therefore, a $38 resort fee was added per night. However, there was nothing about this hotel that screams resort. There were limited restaurants and the buffet was not open. Each evening if you didn't eat at the Black Angus restaurant, there were no other restaurants to choose from other than a Starbucks, which is not a restaurant. They put you in a tower that is far away from the lobby and other hotel amenities and you have to walk pretty far to get to anything. Also, the Hibiscus tower remained dark at nights because the lights on the floor did not work and it was rather scary to walk alone in that tower at night. We spent more time at the Sheraton hotel which was connected to this hotel because there amenities were more favorable to those at the Wyndhan. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone even if the price is cheaper than the other hotels.

Poor stay at Wyndham Nassau Report
After paying a supplement of $188 for a corner suite we were first shown to a part of the hotel that had been closed for renovations, no working escalators and was deserted apart from a few Chinese workers. View of a building site of Baha Mar. Not a good start. We complained and were reluctantly moved with no offer of help to move rooms. The hotel was in shockingly poor condition for the $3000 + paid for 7 nights. Service from the front desk was pleasant bit uninspiring. Lack of open restaurant facilities/fitness etc meant a trek over to the Sheraton next door. Most of the tour agents were only interested in selling a free breakfast package with a tour of timeshare suites. This as a first experience of Wyndham in the Bahamas must have left many wondering why they had paid so much money. Expensive for meals and poor quality all round. No buffet as promised. Black Angus appeared only open at weekends. Pool conditions were atrocious. Pools at the Sheraton became overcrowded. The casino tables only opened one night in the seven we were there. Overpriced, oversold and in short a complete rip off!

very poor quality
We were initially checked-into a roof that was a mold factory - it was apparent the AC system had not been cleaned for years. We were moved to a better room. However the facilities are in a state of decline, the "gym" was essentially non existant and over half the "stores" in the "mall" were vacant - lending a eerie and desolate feeling to the place. The exterior grounds are also very run-down. Stay away. Not worth a $200 a night price.

Disappointed to say the least
The hotel photos view is beautiful but not the description inside. The hotel is being closed and the amenities to include restaurants are sparse. The staff are about the only thing going for it. We experience power outages twice to include no room cleaning one day, lights escalators didn't work etc...

ROACHES in room
This hotel was filthy. We found roaches crawling in our bathroom. The hotel staff was rude, especially at the front desk. They overcharged our credit cards and it became a hassle to get a refund. Bad location, there are no authentic nearby Caribbean food restaurants that you can walk to and the night life is non existent. Spend the extra money and get a 4 or 5 star hotel. I attached pictures. I honestly believe some of these 5star reviews are manufactured to keep this hotel at 3stars. This place is at best a two star hotel and thats only because I had a nice view and flat screen tv. If you are one of those people who read the bad reviews first because they always seem to be the reality of what happens, take this review seriously.

What ammenities were available were not up to par. The hotel is being kept open while the new buildings are constructed. The hotel guests are being shortchanged. The casino tables are only open on certain days. Dining establishments are very limited. What you get for what you pay leaves a lot to be desired. I think they should close the hotel if they are not going to maintain it as a "destination". We have stayed at this hotel before.

Needs work
due to the new resort being built next to this - it felt very run down and as if they have let the hotel slide into disrepair because the new one is coming. I was very let down by the dredge boat parked on our beach and the quality of the resort was very poor - it did not reflect the images on the site. It ruined my perception of the bahamas and I left and spent all my time on paradise island instead.

Not up to prior standards
I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions. Prior visits have always been very satisfactory. The upkeep and cleanliness of the hotel rooms were not good and the spa area and gym were terrible. That will probably be my last time at that hotel.

the worst lobby, no working swiming pool
When we arived, I expected a diffrent ambiance. I walked in and it was very disappointing. The hotel was under renovation, such as the swiming pool. However, the lobby was quite digusting to sit in. Dirty sofas and old, worse then 2nd hand store furniture. The staff wasn't friendly at all they didn't make you feel welcome. More like I can't belive you ended up here!!! They were renovating an area iside the hotel across from the Day Trips desk and across a breakfast restaurant. All the dust was settling on the food and tables...
