do not spoil your vacation
The worst place I have stayed at in the islands. If you want a trip in the past, year 1970, Windham is the place to go. despite the ageing surroundings prepare yourself for dirty carpets, worn out furniture and bathroom toilet and tub, rusty fridge, lots of local teenagers taking over the billiard table, the very primitive water slide, who put up basketball matches until 2-3 am every night, without supervision, nor action from the hotel guards. Nasty personnel, no thank you, no polite attitudes, only pay me. Horrible experience! Avoid the Bahamas! No entertainment whatsoever! No places to eat well either!

Relax, Gamble
The Wyndham Crystal Palace casino is currently doing some renovations. Our room was not in the renovated section, however it was Ocean View and the the View was great. Room has fridge, safe, vanity is separate from toilet & shower area, mattress was tough on the back, overall the room was clean though. It was my 3rd stay at the Wyndham and not too much has changed in the last 5 years. The pool is still chilly, gaming tables friendly, and food pricey. There is a Starbuck's on-site which was very convenient. I will stay there again - hopefully in a renovated room!

My review of Wyndham Nassau Resort
Enjoyed our stay, our party took up 3 rooms in different areas and we had clean rooms everyday, the staff was very friendly, all areas of the hotel were clean even while they were doing construction, the food at every dining area was good and we tried them all. It is expensive to eat there but what do you expect when your staying in a resort town. We didn't find any other place to eat that was cheap. Every aspect of our stay met or exceeded our expectations: clean, quiet, comfortable, friendly.

Great Hotel Great Value
Our room was very nice. We had a newly renovated island view room in the M tower on the top floor. The bathroom was very nice with a nice big soaker tub. When we arrived at the hotel, it was around 12:30 p.m. and our room was not ready, but they accomadated us with another room that was ready. Everyone at the hotel and on the island were very nice; always said hi to you and asked you how you were doing. If you are a daquiri drinker, PLEASE go to the Daquiri Shack which is right accross the street. For $6--you get a daquiri made with fresh fruit and a generous portion of rum. BEST EVER!! You'd pay anywhere from $8-$12 for a daquiri at the hotel that wouldn't even compare!! The one complaint I do have is that everything is expensive, both at the hotel and on the island. The breakfast buffett is $18 p/p + 15% tip which wasn't bad. They had a lot to offer. BUT dinner buffet was $30.00 p/p + 15% and they really didnt' have a lot to offer. The poolside bar/grille was good we ate at that for lunch 2 days. Not a lot to choose from, but what they did have was very good! All in all, we had a great trip!! Girls..if you're in the market for a coach bag..this is the place to go!! They sell them right on the beach, right accross the street from the hotel and all over downtown Nassau. Not sure if they are real, but they are very good knock-off's if they're not! Don't let other picky people's bad experience scare you into not going to the Wyndham--it truly is a nice place!!

Cry for renovation
Upon arrival the lobby was beautiful. During our stay we observed much renovation in various areas. It would have been nice if they focused on one area at a time-until completion. In fact, early one morning we arose to an construction accident were the shaffoling collapsed and a young man fell getting injured. By the end of our stay we were sick of the 15% gratuity on everything-including groceries. We will not return to that resort. Personally, we feel that all- inclusive is the way to go in the Bahamas. We selected this hotel because it is a Wyndham and we have been very pleased with our experiences in the past. This particular resort gives Wyndham a bad name.

beware of extra charges
there was an extra $15 per day resort charge for a resort fee (use the fitness center and a maid gratuity.) this seems to be the norm for Nassau. There was an extra $16 per day charge for internet. there was no free internet available. I got a soda and sandwich to go and had to pay a gratuity fee of 15%. YOu are about 5 miles from downtown. there is a $1 Jitney bus available or a $12 cab fare. One night there was no water pressure and the next morning there was no hot water. they comp'd me fifty dollars.

Not up to prior standards
I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions. Prior visits have always been very satisfactory. The upkeep and cleanliness of the hotel rooms were not good and the spa area and gym were terrible. That will probably be my last time at that hotel.
