Vacation Spot

Overall, we were pleased with our stay here. The rooms were very nice and the location was pretty central to where we wanted to go. Food is very expensive and I don;t like being overcharged to use the internet. The staff are somewhat unpleasant...they could use a course in being pleasant to the guests....hard to get a thank you or a smile out of anyone...the nicest person to us was the girl on the front desk who gave us a room with a balcony....which made all the difference in the world...so nice to sit out there at night and overlook the ocean...

split personality

Overall, a nice hotel, but it seemed like the Wyndham couldn't decide who they wanted to cater to. Great view, location, comfortable room (with nice balcony), and ammenities. There were families with kids, lot's of wasted spring breakers, adults there for the casino... a little crazy. My friend is a vegetarian and there was a piece of fatty bacon in her vegetarian food - staff made her wait for about 20 minutes before giving her a refund (she had only asked to have a bagel instead). Probably would have been a better experience at a different time of year.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

For inexpensive local food; head to the close Fish Fry district. Take the bus for $1 during the day or a taxi at night (single women may be wary of this area after dark). Downtown and Atlantis are also short cab rides away. Also, walk across the street to the Daquiri Shack! Fresh fruit and cheaper than hotel!

Wyndham Nassau Resort

I did not like at the time of checking into the hotel you are informed how each guest must pay a $15/per day fee. That was $90 I did not plan on spending. Also in the downstairs resturant you had to pay a 15% gratuity for them getting your breakfast plus they had a tip-jar sitting next to the cash register.

Great for spring break

This hotel is good for going to the bahamas for spring break. It wasnt really great and it wasnt in the prime location of things, but it was some what nice, room service was expensive but really good. My biggest complaint was nothing was in walking distance so i had to use a cab to go anywhere.

Very versatile

I was a solo traveller during spring break; the room was large and comfortable and I didn't feel at all like I was in a crazy party town or anything. I can see how this hotel could serve families or business travellers very well. It was right on the beach, with easy access to town. Would definitely stay again.
