comfortable
Rooms were clean and nice. I had an ocean view which i enjoyed. Pool area ordinary. Beach area enjoyable, but can't take a long walk on the beach as it is partitioned off. Food not that good and too expensive, both at the cafe and also poolside. too many people in the lobby trying to sign you up for timeshares- almost harrassment. Cable beach much nicer than Paradise island. Staff sometimes friendly, othertimes downright rude. Slow service from hotel staff.

Short walk from hotel
15 min walk outside the hotel is a pizza place, a grocery store and other restaurants if one gets bored eating at the hotel. Jitney stops right outside the hotel and takes you downtown for $1.25. Cab from airport is $20.

Orbitz reps were no help
Hotel was nice for the money but I tried to contact Orbitz because of the delayed flight and missed conecter in Miami to see if we could get a later flight on the day we were leaving since we lost our fist day and were only there for 3 days and they gave us the run around and told us it would cost 400. to change it...

A great hotel
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The staff is very friendly. The pool and beach areas are very nice and clean. The hotel was not very crowded or noisy. The location is very nice although there is not very much within walking distance as far as any shopping or restaurants. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in the hotel though and the hotel is actually connected to the hotel next door which also has shopping and restaurants. The fitness room is excellent, with a nice ocean view while working out. You can catch a public bus into town just outside the hotel for a couple of dollars. My room was clean and comfortable with a nice wide screen TV. I would definitely return to the Wyndham Nassau Resort.

Nice get away
The travel arrangements were very well done. We were conveyed to and from the hotel by Majestic Tours. The weather was quite chilly, not above 63 degrees with strong winds. The pool looked wonderful and the small beach very clean. The hotel however, was cold. The air conditioner was on and it made eating meals uncomfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The ice machine is on every other floor and the one nearest to ours was out of order, the next one sat in a puddle of water. The soda machine on our floor was out of product. The food very expensive. The bed comfortable and staff quickly brought up a roll away bed and extra towels.

Bargain Price for Barrels of Fun
Our spacious room at the Wyndham Nassau Resort opened onto a small balcony with the gorgeous view of the white reef and blue ocean but it was the twisting slide that enthralled my daughter. We both agreed that it's fun to down fruity drinks at the swim-up bar. There were plenty of pool-side chaises, towels and drinks servers. While we visited, a cruise ship came to the pool for a passenger party and that increased the fun with dancing and music and general merriment. The beach vendors offer parasailing and jet-skis at affordable prices, although we did not try them out. The Wyndham breakfast buffet was tasty, ample and fresh -- a good value. However, the rest of the food was uninteresting. So, we took advantage of the hotel's great location to ride the jitney down to the Fish Fry for tasty local lobster dishes at lunch and walked across the street each night to the wonderful daiquiri shack. My daughter enjoyed her fruit slushies while I imbibed the rum-filled versions. The souvenir store in the hotel was not open on the 3 occasions when we tried to shop but the ground-level Business Office gave excellent service. There were maintenance problems -- a dripping ceiling just outside the elevator shaft that served our tower -- but that did not detract from our stay. Because I had a minor child, I did not try my luck at the Crystal Palace Casino. The jitney also took us to downtown tourist sights, where we visited the beautiful Christ Cathedral, the Pirate Museum, horse-drawn carriages, and the ferries to Paradise Island. I was sorry when our 4 day mid-winter vacation drew to an end but look forward to visiting Nassau again.

The tourism jitneys take visitors into downtown Nassau, where it's easy to spend the entire day looking at the heritage. Don't miss the Fish Fry for REALLY fresh food; it's across from the old fort.

Nice hotel but can use some sound proof
--ocean view -was EXCELLENT: Goodman's Bay has beautiful turquoise water; all rooms have balcony to enjoy this - you share beach and facilities with the Sheraton next door and can use all the water sports equipment --sole bad aspect of the room: poor quality sound insulation made life bad at times: -lack of solid storm windows meant could hear outside noise from rowdies at the pool -lack of concrete walls between units meant that we could hear neighbors talk in normal voices, and probably vise versa --bad aspects of hotel: --AMBUSHED with resort fee and maid service fee of $15 per person per day --internet is a total ripoff at $15/day when should be free... --they had one music CD that they played over again and again all week... -- suggestions --kept on scraping feet in the pool, have several scratches --water slide needs to be taller and steeper

Great rooms friendly staff
The Wyndham Nassau resort had very large and very comfortable rooms. The hotel staff was very fiendly and helpful. I had a problem with the television, when I called the desk they sent someone immediatley to solve the problem. The only dissatisfaction was that the hotel dining options were limited and very expensive and due to being away from down town there were no other options to dine at. The buses stopped running early in the evening and the taxi was expensive. Would be nice if hotel provided some late evening and night transportation.
