Great Hotel Great Value

Our room was very nice. We had a newly renovated island view room in the M tower on the top floor. The bathroom was very nice with a nice big soaker tub. When we arrived at the hotel, it was around 12:30 p.m. and our room was not ready, but they accomadated us with another room that was ready. Everyone at the hotel and on the island were very nice; always said hi to you and asked you how you were doing. If you are a daquiri drinker, PLEASE go to the Daquiri Shack which is right accross the street. For $6--you get a daquiri made with fresh fruit and a generous portion of rum. BEST EVER!! You'd pay anywhere from $8-$12 for a daquiri at the hotel that wouldn't even compare!! The one complaint I do have is that everything is expensive, both at the hotel and on the island. The breakfast buffett is $18 p/p + 15% tip which wasn't bad. They had a lot to offer. BUT dinner buffet was $30.00 p/p + 15% and they really didnt' have a lot to offer. The poolside bar/grille was good we ate at that for lunch 2 days. Not a lot to choose from, but what they did have was very good! All in all, we had a great trip!! Girls..if you're in the market for a coach bag..this is the place to go!! They sell them right on the beach, right accross the street from the hotel and all over downtown Nassau. Not sure if they are real, but they are very good knock-off's if they're not! Don't let other picky people's bad experience scare you into not going to the Wyndham--it truly is a nice place!!

My review of Wyndham Nassau Resort

The location of the Wyndham Hotel was great, being situated at a reasonable distance from the airport and from downtown Nassau. As a result, transportation was rather easy. However, I would have liked a shuttle bus from the Hotel to be available for the trips back and forth to the airport. The room size was just right for two people, and I have to commend you on the elevators which were available without long waiting times. The buffet in the Cyrstal Restaurant was delicious and the staff were most pleasant and accommodating. The park across the stree from the hotel which included a walking path was most relaxing, and I enoyed my walk every morning as the path wound through the well kept grounds, including the flowering shrubbery. As a recommendation, you could consider a live show on Saturday night. I would stay there again.

very satisfied

This was our first visit to the Bahamas and we loved it! The hotel was very clean and effecient. No problem checking in or out, there was always help outside if you wanted a taxi. We had an awesome view of the ocean, we mostly ate at the seaside buffet which was one of the best buffets we've been too. The pool and whirlpool were always clean and kept. Across the street was this cool fun little shack where you could get a drink at a good price, straw market right beside it, buses pick you up out front and take you downtown for $1.00! Our only complaint was the persistant sales people located in the lobby of the hotel trying to get you to sign up for the royal holidays package. They said we would get money towards dining or gambling if we went. We took the tour and listened to the sales pitch. They were very angry and rude when we said we weren't interested and threated to fire the girl that interviewed us if we didn't buy the package. We did get the certificate for dining but I'm not sure it was worth it! The Honeymooners

Great couples get away

This was my third stay at the Wyndham in Nassau, Bahamas and the most wonderful. It was absolutely wonderful. The room were clean and quite spacious. The people were friendly and polite. It's location on the west end of Nassau was quite central to all other areas we visited. It so happen that the 21st of August was my birthday and they had a beach party that night. We had a ball. We are looking to do this again very soon. For those of you that have young kids there are also plenty of activity anf a huge pool right in back. They'll have a blast..

excellent vacation resort

The room was spacious and had a beautiful view of the ocean. very clean and comfortable. We had a choice of three pools and a large hottub. The casino was a great attraction. In the lobby we had a majestic tours service, so we were able to go on several awesome tours. The buffet was absolutely delicous, as well as the in room dining. We had access to the gym, massages and had a restfull and exciting time there.

Honeymoon Heaven!

From check-in to check-out our stay at the Wyndham made our honeymoon extra special. We enjoyed the beautiful view, the pool and waterfront area, the restaurants and show. We didn't have to travel away from the hotel to find the best in restaurants. We went to see the Edwards (Twin) Brothers Show and we're still raving over it. We'll be back!

Sightseeing tip: In Hotel

We signed up in the lobby for an offer that included free breakfast/lunch/dinner & shuttle to Atlantis. After talking to a previous attendee and finding out they had to sit through a 2 1/2 hr sales pitch, we decided not to give up our valuable vacation time. We took a cab to Alantis and stopped at the Fish Fry on the way back.
