Great location, great staff, excellent beach

Traveled with husband and 2 & 11 YO kids. The best family vacation we ever had. The beach, location, service were all great. I thought it was a little pricey for the room but overall would do it again in a heartbeat. Taxi service was excellent, fair price, air conditioned & safe. Ate breakfast at hotel but went out to fish fry for dinner more economical.

The overall experience was good

Not a bad experience overall. The safe was low on batteries which was fixed the same day. But it ran out of batteries in a few days again. We stayed for 8 nights. The managers did offer to give us another room. I probably would stay there again.

Great Getaway

We have no complaints! The hotel and staff were top-notch. Professionalism among all staff was excellent, and they were easily willing to fix any issues or mistakes per my request. Great location, with plenty of activities for the entire family. My only complaint is the amount of money charged per beer or tropical drink being $8 each, and average cost per meal per person ranging from $20-$40+ USD at the resort. An all-inclusive deal might be the way to go for my next trip. Ultimately, my wife and I were highly satisfied with the Sheraton.

Be sure to take the local bus for transportation between the hours of 7a-7p. It's only $1.25 per person versus $15 for a one-way taxi ride...Ouch! I would highly recommend not renting a moped, due to the dangerous driving habits on this island.

Gorgeous Vacation Spot!

This was my first trip to the Bahamas with my three best friends and I have to say the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort is absolutely gorgeous! It's not far from downtown and it is located directly on Cable Beach. There are more than enough pools, beach and dining options at the resort, although the restaurants are quite pricey. There were activities going on at all times for people of all ages including volleyball, water trampolines, etc. etc. Our room was cleaned exceptionally well each day and we always had plenty of linens and towels without having to ask. All rooms have balconys and you can see the ocean from most. Overall a great stay and highly recommended!

Great Getaway

Hotel, room and staff were nice. We had a 1st floor room with a patio which was great. The view was partial ocean and pool. I suggest the 1st floor...the patio with lounge chairs was a bonus. The food was a bit on the high side...but good. Drinks were too expensive......but you're on vacation....live it up. I would recommend the Sheraton and stay again.

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible service!

My husband and I spent a week at this hotel for our honeymoon, and I was completely disappointed. The service was absolutely terrible! The staff were unfriendly and flat out rude. Now, I can understand having a bad day, but 7 days of this was more than I had patience for. One night I called room service, and the hotel employee informed me that I needed to "make it quick." We waited for room service for well over an hour and a half each time (twice) that we order it. I had to called the second time after an hour had passed to make sure our order was in. I called the front desk twice (once for internet help and once for the phone . number of a local pizza place), and each of these time I was transferred to multiple people and eventually hung up on. Each of the restaurants in the hotel had extremely slow and inattentive hostesses/waiters. A few nights we never got refills because we were completely done with dinner and sick of waiting. The food was completely overpriced, and while we expected the increased prices we thought the quality would be somewhat increased as well... boy were we wrong. Our last morning the cleaning lady knocked on our door before 8:30 to (rudely) ask when we would be leaving. What, really?! I could go on and on, but I'll spare you. If you care at all about customer service please pick another hotel.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Go get a moped and see the west side of the island. Also, use the bus system to get around- it is an interesting cultural experience and is much cheaper than a taxi.

TOO EXPENSIVE!!!!

When going to the Bahamas, I always go to all inclusive hotels...for the first time I chose something different--what a mistake!!! The sheraton does offer an all inclusive package for an additional 190 dollars per person per day!!!! RIDICULOUS!!! At night--after 11, there is no where to buy food/beverages..all of the vending machines were sold out! (the nearest place to buy things is at least 10 minutes away via car!)

Dining tip: Not Applicable

DO not buy anything at the hotel! 19 dollar breakfasts, 25 dollar lunches and 28 dollar dinners!!!! Go to where the regulars ago---another island!!! (freeport etc..) Cable Beach and Atlantis/Paradise Island are way too expensive for things that are dirt cheap in the states! Take the bus also!!!!
