Overpriced with rude staff
The only good thing about this place was the beach. The pools were overcrowded and I couldn't even get into the hot tub any of the 6 days I stayed here because it was always overflowing with kids. There are only a handful of overly-priced restaurants available and the food is mediocre at all of them. We first ate at the buffet-style restaurant, Bimini Market, which cost about $40 a person even though their sign said $28.50. But it was Christmas Day so I guess that was their excuse to gouge us. Being a vegan, there were barely any food options for me. I pretty much ate fries and veggie burgers from the Dolphin Grill every day because even the salads had meat or cheese in them. And don't bother trying to get breakfast after 11am. Maybe I am the only one that sleeps in when on vacation. And if you order room service, they will add 18% tip (yes even if you do make it up by 10:30 one day and only want a bagel), and a $3.50 service fee, making your plain bagel a costly $11. We resorted to room service for most dinners because paying the extra service fee meant not having to deal with as much staff. We went for dinner at Amici the second night and it took about 15 minutes for someone to even take our name down, mind you the place was virtually empty. When we sat, we waited another 10 minutes for menus. We ordered salads and dinner. Dinner came a half hour later and the salads never showed up. They did comp the Bloody Mary my boyfriend ordered to make it up to us. We were not satisfied. There was also a towel shortage. There was only one in our room. We didnt want to have our room cleaned because I had valuable jewelry and the in-room safe was broken, so I asked four cleaning ladies for another towel thoughout a 6-hour period they all told me they were not clean yet. So I asked the front desk and she asked what room I was in and said they would send one up. Over an hour later, the towel was finally brought to our room. The second day I got up to go to the beach and went to the towel hut and was told they wouldn't have towels for another 20 minutes. I went back later, got a towel and used the same one for the remainder of my vacation so I wouldn't run the risk of being without towel again. A bottle of local water in the room costs $2. That same bottle of water at the Caribe Cafe costs $3. A coffee will run you about $7. Oh and there's no wifi in the rooms. In fact there is only wifi in a portion of the lobby, and it takes a long time to connect, and when you finally get on, it's slow. And there are only 4 computers provided by the hotel for client use. And you are often hounded by other guests asking how long you will be. And then you are limited to 45 minutes, and forced to use an outdated version of Internet Explorer. And there is also a $40/day "resort fee." Do yourself a favor and stay at the Atlantis.

Uninhabitable room
The room smelled of urine and mold and was uninhabitable. The in-room movie system did not work. We checked in at noon and checked out that evening. I know the star grading system is subjective, but this hotel should by no standards be considered four stars. Staff was friendly.

Intimate Couples Getaway
The beach is amazing! The folks that run the hotel bend over backwards with kindness (as with the entire island). Our main issues were solicitors on the beach not affiliated with the hotel pushing their wares, and real pricey menu items ($18 for instant oatmeal is redunkulous!). Overall a very good experience.

Worst service I've ever received. Will not stay here again.
I don't know if it was because it was an off month or what but the employees at this hotel are totally unmotivated to have any standard of customer service and made our stay really tough. From the Starbucks employees to the front desk staff to the pool staff, there were other employees hanging around doing nothing everywhere and when I went up to make a purchase or ask a question, they acted like I was disturbing them. I tried to get a restaurant reservation with the spg rep who ended up making the reservation for the wrong night. When we brought it to her attention, she had to call back and change. We never heard back from her and when we checked the next day, she had made 2 reservations, one for the correct night and one for the incorrect night and then started arguing with us that we told her to do that!! We ended up being charged a cancellation fee!! Food was terrible in the whole resort, you should leave for dinner at least every night. Rooms were filthy- there were cigarette butts all over the terrace. Pool chairs were old and yellow, we didn't even want to use them so went to the beach where no one was there to help with chairs so we had to drag them off a huge pile ourselves... Complaints go on and on. Point is, don't stay here unless your expectations are very low.

Nice Honeymoon.
The hotel was pretty nice, and the staff were great. It was a little far from the downtown area. So it was rather expensive for eating every night with only two options (the buffet or a nice sit down restraunt(). Over all it was a nice hotel for the price.

Great vacation getaway
The hotel is located in a good part of town. The rooms are clean and nice. There is wifi in the lobby. There are computers to access for free in the lobby. Starbucks as well. The hotel resturants are expensive but my meal at Amici was amazing. There are several big pools and a huge hot tub. The beach front is amazing. Lots of free activities to do there. There is a giant water slide and unfortunately they never put it in the water the 7 days we were there. Hotel room service is good. There is an awesome little daiquiri shack in walking distance right across from the hotel. There are a handful of cute little shops set up across the street. There is a super market and liquor store not too far away. The number 10 bus takes you down there for $1.25. Ride the bus whenever possible and avoid taxis. Overall a great place to vacation and I would stay there again.

A Worthwhile, Inexpensive Break
The Sheraton is a bit dated, and there's kind of a "vacation factory" feel going on. Chairs are cheek by jowl on the beach. Drinks and food are crazy overpriced -- even the local things like Kalik beer for $8 a can. However, we still had a really good time. The rooms are run-of-the-mill Sheraton, but provided you're getting an inexpensive package, there's nothing to really scare you away. A few last minute items: * Make sure you know they'll charge you $40/day resort fee. They say on the website that this includes wifi in the rooms. It doesn't. There isn't any (just the lobby). * Take the #10 bus from outside the hotel and head to the Fish Fry area or downtown. Much better food options. It's about 15 minutes to Fish Fry and 30 minutes to downtown. * There are a lot of party/spring types here. But mostly people were nice. * There is a market a mile or so west of the hotel. Worth checking out, if only so you can skip the $25/person breakfast bar. That's good once but not that exciting.

Resort Bums Loved It
My husband and I l had a fantastic time at the Sheraton. We travelled in October and found that the resort wasn't too busy. We found chaise loungers by the pool and the ocean every day with no problems. There were plenty of staff on-site to assist us. I didn't particularly like the location, as there wasn't much to do directly outside of the resort. When we did leave the resort, we never felt nervous or in danger. The cab rides varied from $15-$20 (to and from airport & to and from Da Fish Fry). It can get pricey if you want to leave every day. Luckily, we were there to bum around the pool/ocean/resort. The Sheraton was the perfect venue for our purposes. The food at Amica Trattoria was delicious. The staff was professional and timely. I wish there was a mini fridge in the rooms. Also, the ice machine and the soda machines on our floor were out of order or not stocked. I do believe there was a reason for this. The soda machine drinks were $1.50 and the soda at the hotel convenience store were $3.50. Other than those few gripes, it was a 4-star hotel and we had a fantastic time!
