Disappointed
The food is extremely expensive. When we were there, one of the elevators was not working and we had to walk a great distance to get to our room. I wouldn't stay at this facility again, especially with children.

not worth the money saved
The Sheraton on Cable Beach in Nassau had a gorgeous beach and pool area. However, the staff at the hotel was the worst that we have ever encountered. It was not unusual to have to call for housekeeping to clean our room upon arriving back to it in the late afternoons. Also on New Year's Eve, our room was not made up and we did not have fresh towels. Upon finding a housekeeper in the hall we requested only to get clean towels. She informed us that they had none. The restaurants were disappointing also. At breakfast you could only get a buffet (costly) and the Italian restaurant was very expensive and although there were many tables available, we were told there was a 45 min. wait. Upon checking out and giving the bellhop a nice tip, we received our bill which had a bellhop charge on it. Never seen this done anywhere before. Spend the extra money and stay at a well-run hotel such as the Atlantis which we have been to on a number of trips.

Horrible, Rip-Off experience
The "airport transfer" had us waiting curbside at arrival for 45 minutes -- and the Sheraton hotel portion was horrible: 1. upon check-in, I was required/coerced to sign a form agreeing to "extra," hidden charges for arbitrary and unnamed gratuities ($36 per day) that I was never advised of beforehand by Orbitz, and for services I never used; 2. the hotel staff "service" was slow, non-existent, unavailable when needed, and many of the front-desk staff and food service staff were non-responsive and/or demonstrated a rude, nasty and obnoxious attitude; 3. there seemed to be a general and pervasive hotel and staff attitude of "entitlement" to gratuities and "gouging" the tourists.

Not what I expected
Hotel itself was nice. Nice pools. Best beach by far out of the other hotels. Staff was rude. Room was never cleaned. Never got enough towels. I had to call down everyday. We got charged an extra 36$ per night because Orbitz doesn't charge for their fees.

Sheraton Nassau
When we arrived our rooms were not ready and the staff did not care. We had to wait for 4 hours to get our rooms. When we did get our rooms they were not right. I paid on Orbitz for a beach view, my view was of the next door resort HVAC system. I went to front desk and they said I had a resort view not beach view, well I paid an extra $50.00 to Orbitz for the beach view so they said the next day we could switch out only after arguing with them for 45 minutes. They said bring you things down in the morning before you go on the fishing charter and when you get back at noon your rooms will be ready. When we got back at noon the rooms were not ready so we had to wait another 4 hours for new rooms. During that 4 hours I checked in every hour to see if they were ready, the last time I went in to see about our rooms I realized they did not know what they were doing because they asked me how many rooms. I said I am switching out 2 rooms for 2 rooms and gave them the guests names, they did not understand. I thought this was a simple task but I guess not. I ended up drawing a diagram of 2 rooms with the names on a piece of paper hoping she would get it. I thought we were good until the next night i lost one of my room keys, so I went to the front desk to get a new one and they did not have my name registered AT ALL!!!! I booked the rooms, I paid for the rooms and they did not have my name anywhere!!! We had 3 in one room and 2 in another room, they put the 2 people's names on both rooms, even after I drew a diagram for them. So I had to walk to the casino and get my friend to come back with me to get a new key, UNBELIEVABLE!!! The manager at the front desk actually found humor in it! We will never stay there again. The staff also had an attitude us because we booked through orbitz, they sdaid we did not book directly so there wasn't much they could do for us, i guess I will not book that way again if this is correct.

Beautiful hotel, horrible service!
When we first arrived we loved our view, we loved the rooms, they were nice & clean! We ate at their restaurant once because we refused to go back, they were so rude when we asked our eggs a certain way. They are just rude and it seems as if you are in their way and we are bothering them. We didn't not feel welcomed in the Bahamas by certain locals. In the market people were rude and in general not friendly at all. If the hotel would have nicer staff we would have loved it. But we will not be recommend this hotel to any family or friends.

"Safari in the Carribean"
This was a family trip with high expectations but to great disappointment I was let down with the service and disrespect that I received while staying at the Sheraton Resort at Cable Beach. 1st they did not provide excellent service from cleaning the room to the friendliness of the staff. The location is Ok but I left with definite feeling that I was not going to use this hotel ever again. The staff treated my family like we were bile.

Never using Orbitz AGAIN!!
Orbitz said that all fees and taxes were included and this was a flat out lie. The hotel added $75 a night to a $180 hotel reservation for resort fees. I am not using Orbitz anymore since they do not disclose this information and mislead the customer.
