Very family oriented
The food and hospitality was great. The buffet is open from 6:30 am to I believe 10pm. The food is tasty. Everything is quite expensive however. The full breakfast buffet is like $20 per person, or $14 for just continental breakfast. Dinner/Lunch per person is $28. The Dolphin Grill outside and Bar is pricey also. So be sure to bring enough cash. Gratuity is included with everything order you make so extra tipping is on you. The maid kept our rooms nice and clean each day. Overall pricey, comfortable, convenient, kids had a blast, I enjoyed it lovely.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Downtown is great for shopping. It only takes a short cab drive. The cab drivers charge differently each time $15-$25. So be sure to ask a pricce b4 boarding. You can also take a straight drive on the local 10bus for $1.25. It stops running around 6-6:30. The stores all close by 6pm. Negotiate with outside vendors they give in if you try.

Birthday Getaway
This was my first time visiting Nassau and my experience on the island and the staff at Sheraton made it unforgettable. I can't wait to book my next trip to Nassau for the next three months. I will definitely be staying at the Sheraton Resort. The staff was very accommodating to each of our needs. The pool staff and lifeguards treated us like family and even remembered our names.

Wonderful vacatoin!!!!
My husband and I went there for our anniversary and had such a great time!! The staff was so nice and so friendly. Drinks were a bit expensive. You were better off buying a bottle in the liquor store and getting mixers to go with it. Food at the grill was good but the food prices at the hotel seemed very high. We ate at local restaurant. We had no problems catching buses down to the city to go site seeing or catching taxi's back

Best Hotel on Cable Beach!
I was really impressed with the quality of the hotel - it was a great value for the price I paid. Cable Beach is bit removed from downtown and Paradise Island, but I liked the convenience of having a grocery store within walking distance (which I highly recommend utilizing, as the prices in Nassau are very much inflated.) And with the money you save on the hotel, you can put towards water sports and excursions. I walked along Cable Beach and from the outside, clearly the Sheraton was the in the best shape. The pools as well as the beach were clean and beautiful. The other hotels along the strip appeared to be out-dated. The hotel service was great too (but given that there is a $40/day gratuity charged, you better get great service.) I would definitely stay here again.

Short walk from hotel
There is a grocery store within walking distance (about a mile)...my recommendation would be to buy breakfast, snacks and bottled water here and save your money for dinner and excursions. There is also a few liquor stores along the way and I suggest that you stock up on this as well, as everything is expensive in the Bahamas!

Wonderful Time!
Hotel, beach, and pools are all beautiful! Staff were polite and friendly and rooms were comfortable and quiet. My only criticism is that food and drink in the hotel bars and restaurants is EXCESSIVELY expensive! I expect to pay a bit more in a resort, but these prices were exorbitant, so plan to eat and drink elsewhere.

Eat in he local restaurants; get snacks and soda from grocery store about a mile from the hotel. Drink daiquiris at the Daq Shack right across from the hotel. All much cheaper than the hotel.
