I enjoyed myself, it was very expensive though. Walk with plenty of money and the food was average. Best to dine in town, fish fry area. A $15 1way taxi ride.

A great time, very little to complain about
A great place that I thoroughly enjoyed, apart from one employee whose behavior I would term as flat-out rude. The pools were cleaned every morning. The beach was immaculate. The bed was huge, though I found the pillows to be far too soft for comfort. But I was so tired every night after my daily adventures, it hardly even mattered. The biggest concern is food, or more precisely, its availability. Eateries within the hotel (and adjoining complex) served varied and delicious food. Some of the best I've ever eaten, in fact. But it's all expensive. If all you're hankering for it a quick snack, your options are extremely limited. Be ready to have a pizza delivered or take a cab ride somewhere else, which after you pay the fare, you may've been better off just paying the outrageous hotel prices. :)

Short drive from hotel
Powerboat Adventures. It was on my list of things to potentially do if the money held out. My shuttle driver from the hotel recommended it highly and I actually questioned him in private as to what the one thing he'd suggest we not miss out on, and this was it. How right he was. It was the high point of my vacation.

Lipstick on a Pig...Maybe
The Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort is far from a 4 star hotel/resort. I've stayed in legit 4 star hotels/resorts and this is far from that. With that being said, the Sheraton is a good value for what we spent. The hotel is in need of some serious maintance and up keep. The rooms are nice, but there are a lot of little things that need to be addressed in order for this to be considered a 4 star hotel. The decor is nice. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom was okay, but had broken towel rack and shower head. Bed frames and ceiling needed repair. Food was over priced and resort fee really only inculded free WiFi and computer use. If they could adress the issues it might live up to it's 4 star rating. Thus lipstick on a pig. With all that said I would stay there again for the price I paid.

Catch the local bus service called the jitney and go anywhere on the island for $1.25. Take the number 10 bus down to the Fish Fry to get local cheap, but good food. Oh Andros and Twin Brothers are the best places to eat at the fish fry. Be prepared to wait a long time for service, its the island way unfortunately. They are a lot more laid back then our American I got to have it right now attitude.

Kids Friendly Hotel, nice beach
It's very kids friendly hotel. My son 2 and half, get's to eat free. He did not eat much anyway, but it was a nice offer. The beach is breath taking. The pool was ok if you are compared to the ones in the Alantis. The staff was very nice. The buffet at the hotel was priced reasonable, and there is a wide variety of food, especially desserts. This hotel is not as crowded as the Alantis. There are lots of chairs on the beach. And the pool is not crowded at all, sometimes, you will have the pool all yourself. I will say if you want a relax beach vacation, this is the one.

So so hotel
This was my husband and mys first trip to a foreign country together. The view of our room was absolutely beautiful! Especially because we received a free upgrade because our room wasn't ready when we arrived. The bed was hard which we could deal with but what we could not deal with were the ants in the room and no fresh towels. We could not leave anything out without the ants going in it. The Italian restaurant was not good and way over priced for the food. My husband at conch for the first time and when he confronted our horrible server about it he argued with him. I ordered a cheesecake when I took off the whipped cream there was plastic under it and when I confronted the server about that he tried to lie and say it was made in house. Other than that it was great! Haha
