I thought $40.00 a night for internet was outrangous. was not given card until the night before we were leaving. Per reservation desk was suppose to get when we checked in. received another rooms bill. really embarrassing

Mother daughter getaway
Everything about the hotel was great except for the one meal we had there at the dinner buffet. We paid $75.99 for the two of us and the buffet was mostly empty or nearly empty selections. Our friend complained to the manager and the manager had to tell the chef to send out more food selections. Needless to say, we did not eat there again. The location, staff, room was excellent. We will go back to the Sheraton, but now know where to go for very good dinners.

Short drive from hotel
We were surprised that the Straw Market closes 5 pm. Friday nights at Senor Frog's, you can get $2.00 tacos with many choices of fillings to eat at the bar.

First visit to bahamas, had a Great stay!
The hotel is what you expect with the flag name of Sheraton. Friendly staff, comfortable stay. Location was far from downtown which was definitely a great location considering the surroundings of where other hotels were located. Beach was beautiful and plenty to do. One con about our stay was lack of wifi, only wifi is provided in the lobby area and is limited access. Other then that, no other issues. Would consider staying at the same hotel next time at Nassau.

Very Good!
Like everyone else, I read some bad reviews and was a little worried about selecting this hotel. However, I am very happy that I did not listen to the reviews and chose the Sheraton because it was awesome! I had a blast and the kids had a blast! We had family staying next door at the Wyndam and we were able to walk over to there hotel via the connected casino. I was very pleased with the outcome of my trip and would book at this hotel again.

Hotel staff was always very kind and the rooms were very nice. Food and drink pricey and there were no other places to eat in walking distance. The beach and pools were beautiful.

Pleasant and accomodating staff
We were hoping to have some quiet and scenic retreat, but this hotel turned out to be more ideal for family resort spot with lots of entertaining events. Staff were very courteous, willing to go extra miles to accomodate their guests. They gave us an upgrated room upon arrival, which has a partial view of beautiful ocean. I think there exists no perfect hotel or B&B... but what makes a difference is the people we encounter. In that sense, we were content about our experience at Sheraton.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
Take the #10 bus (cost $1.25) down to Fish Fry (small street of fresh seafood restaurants) and eat at Oh Andros or Twin Brothers (two most popular restaurants there). Then take a 20 minute walk down Bay St. to Straw Market downtown for some souvenoirs (always haggle on prices). The daiquiri shack across the street uses fresh fruits and is reasonably price.

Great girls vacation!!!
From the arrival to the end, the Bahamians were very friendly and welcoming. The staff went out of their way to assist and to give good recommendations based on what you requested. I would love to visit again and I even invested in the "Bahamar"!! Shout out to Martiva, Levad, RKelley, Philip, Geo and a few others that made this a wonderful, fun filled vacation!!!

The beach is perfect. Everything else is 2 to 3 star at best. Everywhere you look, something is cracked and badly repaired. The room & casino smelled moldy. Some of the "white" sheets and towels are yellowed. There are only 2 places to eat for dinner, and each will cost at least $35pp, so you will spend AT LEAST $100pp per day for food, unless you take a 10 minute bus ride into town. There is nothing to do at night, except old movies, and one-man-bands. Also, they charge you $4.00 for a small bottle of water, but the water in the sink is too disgusting to drink. The two lifeguards (1 for the 3 pools and 1 for the huge beach) spend more time away from their stations than actually watching people swim. They have water sports, but you have to pay at least $25 for them every day.
