Food at the hotel was too expensive. Had to go out of the hotel to eat. the Buffet breakfest was $50 for two.

Worn out and extremely expensive
The title says it all! The hotel is worn out. The pools were not clean - the water were shady and I would not go in. Desperately needed some chlorine shocking! Door handles were a bio hazard all over the hotel. A simple salad served in a cupboard box and not big enough to fill a normal plate: $19 I'll never go there again.

Summer fun
Overall stay was great. Only negative is the casino that is attached is a poor excuse for a casino. The table games are only open fri and sat evenings and then only six or seven of the 25 tables were open Highly reccomend the daquari shack that is located across the street it has the best fresh fruit drinks I've ever had and friendly bartenders.

Sheraton Stay
We had a great time, hotel beautiful. Our room was on the fourth floor, the elevator by the room was not working, had to do extra walking, but that was the only problem we had. The walking did us good. The staff was great, had a wonderful lady that took care of everything we needed for our room. It was really clean and comfortable. The biggest issue was the price of food . Very pricey . Enjoyed the pool and the beach, very beautiful.

Take snacks and try other places to eat if you are on a limited budget. Take the bus when you travel, less expensive if you are staying a long period of time. Food and taxi's high.

nice hotel but ordinary amenities
the room was nice, clean, I got good service, but there are no restaurants or entertainment after midnight, the hotel is not within walking distance of anything entertaining and everything closes too early in Nassau. Also, the hotel nickel and dimes the customers so it's not really worth it again.

good fun
the hotel could use a little uplift in the way of cleanliness (stains on the carpeting, walls need a painting, etc.) Other than that, had a great time. Staff was pleasant and location was very serene and comforting

First time in the Bahamas
I must admit the location and the view of the beach from this property was breathtaking. Overall, the only problems I had was the fact that the staff was not very knowledgable when it came to the charges I encountered which included close to 400 dollars for a resort fee as well as incidentals in addition to the $1000 I already spent on a 5 night stay at the hotel. Food options on the property were plentiful but were expensive. Expect to pay over $50-$70 each meal for two. If I went back to the Bahamas I'd stay here again for the scenery alone. Oh and to save money catch the bus which runs across the street from the hotel every ten mins until 6 pm for $1.25 per person instead of catching a cab. And try to partake in the Booze Cruise, a wonderful experience as well.

I Will Return
The Sheraton is a nice hotel on Cable Beach. The best part of the hotel is the beach and pool area. There are always beach chairs and space available. The pool has cascading waterfalls. There is also a nice grill by the pool, as well as a bar with music. The casino was somewhat quiet. The room was ok. It contained all the basic amenities. There is no fridge in the room. The walk to some of the rooms can be quite long. I did not always feel easy walking the long hallways. Doors to some of the storage rooms were always left open which made me feel a little uncomfortable at times. We were in room 566. We had a partial ocean view room. The view was nice, you could see the pool and beach. There are two main restaurants. One Italian. We did not eat there. One buffet style- we did not eat there. The presentation of the food at the buffet was poor- it did not look appetizing. There is a nice little cafe in the lobby. It was expensive but very convenient. Thre is major construction going on nearby, but it did not affect us at all. Although there are signs of age showing, I enjoyed my stay at the Sheraton and will return.

Better Options Available
Although I read some of the previous reviews of the hotel that warned about the slow and rude service, but we reserved our judgement since we needed a quick vacation. However the bad service started from check-in. The young lady at the front desk was more focused on getting the $200 extra service fee. Are you kidding me, this is the reason we decided not to stay at Atlantis. Then when we enter the room, we find out it is a one bedroom where we could barely sit around the table. I thought this was a 4 star hotel. No fridge in the room, $10 a day for one, no wireless in the rooms, need an internet cable which was missing from the room. I kept banging my shin on the bed because the room was so small. When we tried to upgrade, we were informed that it would be $400 a night to have a decent sitting area -- I am sorry did we check into the Atlantis and did not realize it. Again, what is the purpose of the extra $200. Most of the staff are rude and dismissive, the beach is average, the sand is dirty with cigaret buts and trash. I do not blame the hotel for the liter, I blame them for not cleaning the beach area given the $200 fee.

Pick up water, fruit, cereal and milk from grocery store and pay the $10 for the mini fridege. Also, eat lunch at the Fish Fry, better tasting food and inexpensive compared to Hotel.
