The hotel needs to be updated! The rooms look like they haven't been updated since the 80's! Food, staff and entertainment were exceptional! We love Shawn!

dirty, moldy room, spring break like atmosphere

The room appeared to have not been clean, old soap in the shower, no towels only a wash cloth, very musty moldy, damp room. There were 3 grad week companies there and a prom. It was like spring break but in June. Thankfully we only had to stay there one night.

Worst hotel in Nassau!

Conditions in the hotel were practically intolerable. The lobby and public areas were dirty and unusable. Water was leaking from the ceilings and the whole place was a mess. The rooms were damp and smelly and unfit for purpose. The bathroom door had been punched in and no towels were provided until four hours after arrival. The hotel was closing for complete renovation two days after we left and nothing was either working or being fixed. Food was terrible and flies were on everything . Not deserving of the single star we were forced to award.

don't go during grad week

I arrived in the Bahamas a day early so we stayed at the all inclusive hotel for one day. We were not informed it was grad week when we got there, the place was swarming with drunk 18 year olds. The staff seems nice but they were all working for tips. They insisted on taking up my small suitcase. The wait for the elevator was sometimes 5 minutes so make sure you are able to walk the stairs. The hallways to the rooms look like it's out of a horror film. Definitely need some attention. The rooms themselves were pretty decent. We got a room with a remodeled bathroom. All of the 18 year old were screaming until 4am so don't count on a good nights sleep. The staff did nothing about it. As far as the free drinks go, they were strong but definitely the cheapest alcohol around, I instantly got a headache. It's geared for the young drinkers who don't care! The food was Bahamian style, decent for one day but could not imagine eating it every day. My stomach hurt for 2 days getting used to all their food. They fry a lot of their food. Can't complain to much because it was free. Big selection in buffet style setup. Don't lose anything there, the all inclusive bracelet will cost you $100 if you lose it, the room/towel keys cost if you lose them too. They did seem to have a lot of options for things to do and free entertainment. Their beach was absolutely not what you imagine when you go to the Bahamas. (go to cable beach, its beautiful there) the pool was nice and the beach volleyball was fun. Don't be fooled by the "shuttles" to and from airport. They have a taxi ready that will cost you $40 for 2 people to get to the hotel from the airport. And 40 more to get back! The hotel is close to Atlantis resort which is a great place to visit. Overall I would not go back, I'm at the point where I would pay the money to get nicer beaches and hotel. The value is decent if you have a strong stomach and plan on drinking a lot of cheap alcohol.

Entertainment tip: Short drive from hotel

The flying cloud catamaran does a trip only on Sundays for $85/person. You go out on the boat for a day to snorkel and then dock at rose island. Breakfast, lunch and rum punch provided. Best deal around. This was the highlight of my trip. The staff make sure you have a great time!

Shabby but friendly

This is our second time at this facility in 3 years. The hotel itself is in terrible condition. The rooms are shabby at best, there are holes in the walls, mold in the bathroom, flickering lights, ripped comforters, etc. We even saw a mouse by the laundry machines. Yes, I know it is just about to be closed for renovations, but honestly not soon enough. Having said all that, the location is perfect, the pool is a decent size and fairly clean. The buffet meals are fine and filling, especially the breakfast. The staff for the most part are very friendly and helpful. So it's certainly a better value than Atlantis. And hopefully the renovation will take care of the ick factor.

You get what you pay for.

This is my second time there. The prices are very cheap for an all inclusive. You get what u pay for. The kids had a GREAT time..... 5 mins away from Atlantis. Can't beat that. Will go back. The only thing that needs to be change is the rooms conditions not so good and they need to add more hotel activities for adults. :)

A dump

This hotel is closing for renovation in July 2014. The place is worn out. It has NO windows that open - Other than the few water facing rooms. The rooms are like small jail cells. After moving rooms three times I paid for an upgrade to one facing the water. The manager was obnoxious. Kimberly was the only one with any finesse.. The all inclusive food was borderline acceptable. Bahamas - Pay twice as much for half the value. You know the problem with the Bahamas is the hidden taxes which generally seem to add up to about 50% where ever you go. So if your room is $400 a night as advertised its really $600 on checkout. Also in a few months they are introducing a 15% VAT on everything which I believe is finally going to kill off tourism & put the locals under tremendous financial strain.

Disappointed

One of the main reasons I selected this hotel was because they had tennis courts.Tennis courts not available due to spring break event. The "nicer" restaurant was closed due to renovation. Bar service poor.. Food better at bar than in dinning room. Food in general-fair, not appealing Very outdated hotel, dim lighting , atmosphere not pleasing. Internet service free but extremely slow, not worth time. Hate to be so negative but have stayed at many other all inclusives and this was the worst. Staff trying, but for the price I paid, should have went elsewhere.
