i came to breezes to take a vacation and to attend a wedding. over all it was a pleasant stay. this was my third trip to ... nassau bahamas, first was on a cruise so i only spent part of a day there. second was last year, i spent 8 days 7 nights there (this was at nassau palm resort, terrible place, do not go there) and this, my third trip, was also 8 days 7 nights. i would recommend not using the glasses provided in the bathroom of your hotel room, they did not appear to be very clean, otherwise the place seemed clean to me. also make sure to check where your room is located, mine was on the same floor and pretty close to the lobby/lounge where they play very loud music till late at night. another good thing to know, if you purchase a calling card, they require you pay an additional $2.00 for every individual call you make from the phone. (ex. if you buy a 45 min calling card for $20.00 and you make one call for 5 min, you have to pay $2.00, if you then hang up to call a different person for 5 min you need to pay another $2.00) i discovered there are payphones at other hotels a short walk away where you only have to pay $0.25 every 5 min on top of the calling card. max amount you'll pay is $22.25, much better deal. other then that the place was pretty clean, friendly staff, decent food, and they don't skimp on the free booze. also good to know, if you plan to go downtown, take the #10 bus (not #10a) it's only $1.25 per person as compaired to a cab where you pay $15 for the 1st person and it only goes upward from there. all in all, i would recommend going to this resort, it's a pretty good deal for the price you're paying.

nassau is one of a few islands that are good to buy jewelry. however you need to be carful where you shop. your best bet is any place with the name international (ex. diamonds international, emeralds international etc.) or any other place that's guaranteed. otherwise unless you know about jewels you'll probably be ripped off. a big hint to a place that might do this, is if they haggle. being able to haggle is an upside to the bahamas, as long as you know what you're barganing for.

A Little less than what we paid for
Nancy the travel mom Nov 19, 2009
Our expectations weren't high and we were glad. The Alcohol was low rail at best and not a big variety. Low shelf Rum and one ... kind of beer was definitely a let down. Rooms were small and outdated. The food was cafeteria style and usually cold. You have to wear a wrist band so you're tagged when you go anywhere. Forget about getting a soda, it wasn't close to soda because of the old fountain system - they need to get canned drinks. All in all you get what you pay for or a little bit less. If it wasn't the beautiful ocean I would have left the first day. The Pool and jacuzzi looked a little fool and could be cleaned a little more often. We were afraid to go in because it was merky. They keep their Staff busy and they are probably overworked - so it may seem like they don't care but I attribute that to their work load. As soon as you check-in you get the impression that your just another tourist that they need to shuffle along.[...] did not fully understand what was in the travel deal and sold us an additonal cost for transportation to the resort for $65. We picked up on that the mistake and they said they will credit us back the cost.

Great Hotel with a Great Price
Karrie Nov 15, 2009
It was a great place for couples to stay for cheap! The food was okay, but its an all inclusive what do people really ... expect. They had plenty of things for people to do and a band almost every night in the lobby. Most of the staff were friendly, but we ran into one or two that wasn't, but hey we all have bad days. We had an ocean front room and the room was very clean and they cleaned and mopped the floors in our room daily. The bed was not the best, but we had a flat screen tv in our room. I would have to say, that I would definitely go back to Breezes. Was a great time! We were 2 blocks(walking distance) to a casino and we took the public bus or cabs every where else. Everything was great!!

The resort is the first all-inclusive....and it shows. First also means oldest. The place could use a good cleaning and paint ... job. Could also use some upgrades to the room decor. Not bad for the cost if all you want to do is eat as much as you want, drink as much as you want and lay out in the sun.

We went to Breezes for a wedding. There were 40 of us of all ages. Plenty of things to do to keep busy or just sit by the ... pools and relax. The food on the buffet was good (not great), but plenty of variety. Casinos were close, taxies always available to go to town for shopping or to just tour the land. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this resort especially for those between 20 amd 30years old.

Bahamas- Breezes Vacation- My Experience
Cdub Nov 2, 2009
Overall our trip was great due to some off hotel tours we took part. The Breezes hotel is old and looks a little run down. We ... were told it was built in the 70s. This hotel is on the lower end of the all enclusive resorts. The staff was mostly rude and unfriendly throughout the week. We had better service while visiting the Atlantis resort. Besides the pool and the piano bar there is not any good entertainment at the hotel. The alcohol choices are limited and didnt taste very good. The water in the hotel also tasted bad. The food at the buffet was ok but was closed many times thoughout the day so we were forced to eat outside at the bbq, which only has hot dogs and hamburgers, and fries. I got sick of eating hot dogs all week! We did some great tours outside the hotel of snorkling, parasailing, jetskiing, shopping that were really fun. Beware, the jetski rentals are not affiliated with Breezes and they are ripping people off including me and our some in our party. They are rental broken or jetskis not filled with gas that will die on you. I was stranded in the ocean for 30 mins until I got help and they would give me a refund or more time on the jetski. I would recommend paying a little more for a different resort. Overall, the trip was fun since we had a large group of friends but Breezes is definitely low quality. [...]

We spent 3wks at Breezes and loved our stay. This was our 9th trip to Nassau and our 3rd all inclusive stay here. Breezes ... was , by far, the best of the three . The food was #1. Breezes has the best buffet I have ever been too( and I've been to many , all over the world). The quality and variety of food was excellent. The rooms were clean and spacious, friendly staff, there were activities every day , something for everyone. The only downer I can possibly list about Breezes was the loudness of the music from the lobby area , but it shut down every night at midnight. I will definately return to Breezes Bahamas.

At first it was a good time but, 7 days is way to long to stay here. The singing at night is annoying as fingers on a black ... board. It lasts so long the earts start to bleed. The drinks are not what you expect them to be. The food is only average. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who might ask me. It was fine for the price but, compared to other hotels, definitaly not a first place accomidations. The bus routes were easy to learn and quite nice concidering the age of the busses. Heat was hot. A/C worked well. All in all glad I went. Now I know better.

Great Value for the price
Scott & Brenda Oct 18, 2009
I thought that you got great value for the price. Ok so our shower leaked out the bottom but thats what towels are for. If ... you thought that you were booking a 5 star hotel for 3 star prices you need to re-think your booking. The Staff and all of the Bahamanians we met were all Very courteous and would go out of the way to help you. The drinks were not very strong but you could drink all you wanted. The food was better than I expected and you had a great variety in the main dining room. I would do both the Garden of Eden and the Pasafari but only because you could try some different dishes. The food at the Garden of Eden was not Great but good. The Pastafari was better and loved the pasta bar. We went into town twice, I would recomend the Bus service very resonable. The bus drivers will pretty much drop you where you want and it is easy to flag it back down to get back.We did the Pirates museum and the Zoo I would recommend both because you will not be able to see it somewhere else marching flamingos. If your looking for big productions don't go. I would recommend going to the Queens Staircase and Graycliff Cigar Company, Both of which are a little bit off the main street but easy walking. The straw market is hot stuffy and all of the aisles have about the same stuff. If you stay at the Breezes you can walk about 2 blocks away from town to a much smaller place and get the same deals without all the hassles. You will get hassled a little bit at the beach by vendors. I learned that you could stop much of that by staying hotel side of the Breezes sign or in the water. I would recommend staying ground floor in the wing with 4 stories as you have a patio door and outside your room are a few hammocks. We procured a couple of chairs and a table to sit out in the evenings and mornings for coffee and cigars. There is no smoking inside the hotel or rooms so if you want that go to the Wyndam. I would recommend this resort to anyone that doesn't have a stick up their butt about the littlest things and just wants to relax and enjoy. You can go para-sailing(loved it), Snorkeling, jet skies and the non-motorized stuff from just down the beach. Highly recomend going to Stuart's Cove for one of their adventures we did snorkeling and the underwater subs. [...] our guide was VERY GOOD and the fish were spectacular. I would highly recommed taking an good underwater camera with you not one of those cheap single use ones. You can buy a video from them of your trip. The Bacardi Store downtown was great as you can get several different bottles engraved for free. [...] the sales person was cool. Food and Beverages downtown are not cheap, so don't think you can get a lobster dinner for the price of a burger.
