Nice Getaway
The Hotel and facilities/property were all good . Unfortunatly not all the restarants were open. Very casual, low key and relaxing on the site. Limited off site activity for shopping etc,. except for the Lucaya Market place.

outstanding vacation
This is was my 4th trip to Lucaya resort, the first 3 being under the Westin name. The GRAND LUCAYAN as it is now known is first class all the way. The security made their presence known everywhere. and cleanliness was throughout the entire resort. I would rate my stay as 5 star in every aspect of my vacation. Restaurants were very limited due to the time of season and many were closed. Not many tourists, which allowed for an easy pick of any activity or pool side relaxation. If your goal is to totally relax and enjoy the surroundings, this would be a great pick, easy in and out of the country and not far from home so it is a short travel

Grand Bahamas Lucaya
The resort is amazing with the large pools and an outdoor jacuzzi. A few of the restaurants at the hotel were closed due to low season. Iris was our favorite at the hotel, casual and good food. One night the power was out for 20 mins. without an explanation. My husband went to the lobby and before he was able to reach our room the power went back on. Overall, the hotel is nice and some of the staff were helpful but not all of them, a few didn't care if you were there or not. I would definitely recommend the ocean deluxe suite, the view is spectacular.

Third stay at this hotel. Awesome resort. Beautiful grounds, pools and great service. Only thing lacking was the quality and selection of food both at the resort restaurants and snack bars.

Bahamas Vacation
It was a great hotel. The room was a little dated but we stayed in the ocean view room on the eighth floor and the view was amazing. It had a balcony where we sat every evening just watching the ocean. The infinity pool was also very nice and where we spent a lot of time when we were not sitting on the beach. Overall a nice hotel that we plan to visit again in the future. The staff were nice and friendly. Only problem was a long check-in time due to all the people from the cruise checking in.

Never again
Except for the casino there is no night life at the Radisson, i.e.,shows etc.. Except for the main office they do not provide daily activities. We waited close to 2-hours to check in. They had vacationer's from two cruise ships checking in and only three clerks working to process the mob. What a fiasco! Restaurants are not open everyday. A flyer with that information would be most helpful. Water pipe broke 8/17 and 10th floor had no water until 10:00am, then again no water until 8:30pm. They refused to change our room lower floors had water. We upgraded to Marina View only to see metal roofs of surronding buildings. 6th floor starts Mariner View which is BS, we switched to 10th floor only to see same roofs only from higher position, but could see limited marina.

Restaurants in marketplace are good, but be careful of dishes with Bahamian spices. Radisson and marketplace restaurants include 10% to 15% gratuities on bill.

not a honeymoon destination
My wife and I had a honeymoon sweet with a king bed booked for 5 days and when we got there the first night the a/c in our room was broken and we had to be moved to a room with a smaller balcony and twin beds. Twin beds on my honeymoon? are you kidding?? Nope it really happened and we were not compensated by the hotel at all!! There was a great shooping center with restaurants and shops across the road that was great!
