It was the third time I have stayed

It was the third time I have stayed at this hotel. It is just a few steps away from St Stephans church. Location is excellent!! The last time we just got a room in which the aircon did't work - so it got really hot. We complained and got another room that was cooler! Very nice breakfast in a very nice dinig room! I would really recommend this hotel.

Awesome location, modest quality hotel

The hotel is located within a block from the cathedral dead in the center of Vienna. You can walk to anything and if you like night life and shopping it is the place to be. At the same time it was clean and quite with a nice breakfast. Room is spacious although a bit dated. Great for the money.

Great location, decent hotel

* Overall the hotel was decent. Think about it like a 3 star hotel at best in the US, but this is Europe. * Breakfast was good. * Great location. * The staff it's very friendly and helpful. * The business center is a "phone boot" with a computer and printer, but it did the trick when I wanted to print my tickets. * If you are a business traveler and the internet connection it's important for you, stay away from this hotel. The internet connection it's horrible and it has a lot of timeouts. You can send emails and see some webpages, but working remotely through VPN it's a big no no. * I didn't like the fact that I could not adjust the temperature in the room. Most of the time was to cold for me. The only option that you have is to increase the air flow and anything above level 2 its to noisy. I was able to warm up the room a little bit at level 5 (my guess the temperature was 70-71 degrees).

Perfect Location

Next door to the Cathedral and a Metro stop. Can't find a better location. The complimentary breakfast was of good quality and offered fine selection. I had a top-floor room with an entire wall of large, angled-upward windows. Lots of light but little view. The room was sparsely but adequately furnished and clean. Only drawback is that your key is left at the front desk when going out and the staff isn't always diligent about asking for identification before handing back the key.

A great location

We recently returned from Vienna and stayed at the Hotel Royal. We were very pleased with the location of this hotel. The staff was very helpful except for one person and he was very disinterested in helping us with anything. He refused to help us telephone a taxi for pick up to the airport because he said it wasn't a company they associated with. Now we had found the taxi service recommmened by the airport when we arrived in Vienna and they acquired the taxi. Our taxi person was very helpful and full of information for the sights of Vienna. We asked if he would be willing to come and transport us to the airport on the departure date which he agreed to do. He left his card with us and when we tried to call, we needed assistance from the person at the front desk and he refused and was very rude about the fact that their hotel didn't contract with that taxi company. We wouldn't go back to this hotel again based on his rudeness. Otherwise the hotel and most of the staff were very helpful but it only takes one person to leave a bad impression.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

The hotel is in a great location right next to Saint Stephens church. Very close to the subway system which we used a couple of times. The subway system is fairly easy to navigate and very accessable. The restaurant in the hotel was wonderful. The hotel is located right in the middle of old town and on the main shopping area of Vienna.

とても古い建物でウィーンの雰囲気を満喫できると思います。 場所は最も観光客が多いシュテファンプラッツにありU-1の駅からも数秒で観光にはとても便利です。 4つ星としての高級感もあり、お値段的にも満足でした。
