Historic building houses stately hotel near Southern Cross Station
Built in 1926, the All Seasons Kingsgate Hotel combines traditional European charm and service with modern facilities and amenities. Cheap
The room was tiny. The corners of the bathroom had dirt in them. The bathroom ceiling had mildew. The bathroom door was a sliding door hung in front of an opening, had no anchor on the bottom so would easily swing, and did not close all the way. The bathroom window was glass slats and the outside screen was shredded. The internet was overpriced (15 minutes per day free). The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good (fruit, bread/toast, cereal, unsweetened yogurt) and the same every day. The lobby looks nice. The staff was friendly. The location was convenient for me.

We found the Kingsgate Hotel very
We found the Kingsgate Hotel very comfortable and central to shops, trams and walking distance to Casino.The room was spacious and well appointed. I would recommend a stay here.

Good location, close to railway station.
We visted Ramsey street (Neighbours) which was booked just around the corner of the hotel, we all so did the neighbours trivia night held on monday nights. The eureka sky deck just over the yarra river. MCG sports ground a tram journey away. Great ocean road trip booked with grey line through (Half-tix) Half price tickets! Melbourne Gaol well worth the vist, got arrested at the watch house experience Fun for all ages!

Newly renovated rooms pleasant
Newly renovated rooms pleasant and comfortable, although some might think it's small. Handy to shopping and transport. Excellent breakfast.

non tile shower very good. air conditioning good. central located good.fridge good to have. NOT so good are the following - steps from street to checkin make it hard for women with cases to carry . drawers needed to put undies etc in. More info in book in room is needed.
