Vibe Hotel Carlton Melbourne

This place did not meet our expectations. It was one of the worst 'hotel' experiences. The room was filled with 'smoke' and 'dormitory' furniture. The place is located in a very noisy area. I don't recommend staying here at all.

nice hotel but little noisy from cars...trams and foot traffic...need better windows to keep noise down.

Excellent facility, only down side was lack of choice on the menu. Ordered battered fish and boy was it battered must have been deepfried about 6 times. rest of meals ok.

Very basic hotel but it is cheap. We found it noisy and the bathroom was extremely small, shower design left a lot to be desired. Breakfast buffet was very simple and dinner is definitely not recommended. Neither are the restaurants down the road (Brunswick? Sydney Road) where they advised us to go on our first night.

Room was spotless, staff friendly and helpful. However, my dirty cups weren't cleaned or removed and one day the cleaning staff left their spray cleaner next to the coffee making things. My room was at the back - no traffic noise, but the walls are paper thin - I could hear every conversation next door, word for word, and no one was yelling.

A nice modern clean hotel in a quiet location away from the bustle of the city. The number 19 tram which is across the road gets you into town very quickly. getting to the hotel is expensive by taxi. Be warned the airport shuttle bus with a transfer to hotels does not work for the Vibe Carlton even though the counter clerk at the airport said it would. Would stay at the hotel again but the internet charge is high.

Quite a nice hotel, well serviced by trams to the city. If there's a good deal available then it's well worth staying, as it's nicely decorated and has pleasant rooms plus the benefit of cheap parking on site. It's very convenient for Melbourne Uni, the Zoo, Flemington and NW suburbs of Melbourne.

The rooms are very basic but they have all you need if you are only staying for a few days. Some of the equipment in the gym was not working but the pool was very clean and refreshing after a day of sight seeing. Unfortunateley the people in the room next to us kept us awake and I even had to get up and ask them to be quiet. The rooms have an open floor outside each door and a large group decided to party outside ours! The main problem is the shoes clipping on the tiled floor. Part of the hotel does have rooms with separate balconies and a carpeted inside walkway, suggest you request one of these. All in all not a bad place to stay, you can walk into the city, it takes about 30 mins.
