Elegant historic hotel in downtown Melbourne overlooks Yarra River
Overlooking the Yarra River, the Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne is one of the few truly historic hotels of Australia. The property was built in 1913 as the Commercial Travellers Club, and has been restored to retain the feel and style of the early 1900s. Of course it offers modern amenities, as well, including high-speed Internet and more. The on-site restaurant, The Grill, mixes traditional Australian cuisine with modern Asian fusion.

Very handy location to all tranport
Very handy location to all tranport and central city shopping. Not five star but certainly adaquate. This is more a location for people who spend more time out of the hotel enjoying Melbourne and not a resort where you would spend much of your day. Execellent dining just across the river bridge, with excellent river walks in the evening.

Excellent location opposite Flinders
Excellent location opposite Flinders St station; rooms refurbished and pleasing colours, if a little small. Beds were just right. Great showers and very clean bathrooms. Very quiet. Because the tennis was on, room rates were a little expensive.

The room was small, but well situated
The room was small, but well situated with a view of the river. The hotel was wonderfully located, close to Flinders St Station and the city hub. The staff were friendly, although we found that the Skybus would not pick up there, and we had to get a taxi to the terminus.

good location for central melbourne.
good location for central melbourne. friendly staff and good service although didn't require much on our stay. Nice modern room. Noise was minimal even though it is close to Flinders street station and is on the main road. Would definately stay again.

This was my first visit to Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne and I was extremely impressed by the facilities and especially the staff. I loved the view from Room 723 and it would be my first choice when I stay at the hotel again. An excellent experience and most enjoyable weekend in Melbourne. Thank you
