Modern hotel just off Bourke Street Mall caters to budget travelers

The hotel was as we would have
The hotel was as we would have expected considering the price. The room was not cleaned on the first day, but was quickly sorted when we spoke to the receptionist. Also after a very noisy night from the young people in the next two rooms,(which was not the fault of the hotel) we were moved to another room and given a bottle of wine to apologise. The hotel had a very good restaurant and bar, and was well placed for sight seeing, entertainment, restaurants, etc. Trams and taxis were just outside the hotel, if required.

Rooms too small No in room dining - big negative in my book! Good that there are computer facilities, but would be better if they were free (included in room rate) Breakfast/Restaurant costs too expensive. The guy working at the concierge desk (David i think his name was; red hair) went over and above his service. He was very helpful and should be congratulated on his efforts.

We found the Hotel had excellent
We found the Hotel had excellent house keeping staff and it was very clean. The only thing was the bed was hard on one side otherwise everything was great. Will be staying there again.

I loved staying here and so did my clients. The staff are excellant and were very helpful in a stressful situation and were more than accommodating when it came to changing arrangements. I would like to thank the staff for all their help.

Very conveniently located in the
Very conveniently located in the very heart of Melbourne, only 5 min from Flinders St train station and with a tramstop out the front. We received a free upgrade to a king room, which was lovely and spacious, but friends staying in the queen room found it a bit small and cramped. Very helpful front desk staff, including a native French and native German speaker, on the day we were there. Althought it was a very busy weekend (Grand Prix weekend) there was very little waiting time at reception.

If you can get past the initial
If you can get past the initial shock, the place isn't as bad as it looks and the price can't be beat. I felt like I was staying on Times Square in NYC. No joke. The hotel is walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants. Cabs are always parked outside. There is a decent coffee shop next door but stay away from the second floor restaurant.
