Gourmet Diner
Nice place, dirty cleaners.
Great, central location,lovely building, pleasant decor and furniture, adequate kitchen and utensils. A perfect location to just jump on a tram or walk around CBD, even very good restaurants on same block. Staff mostly helpful and accommodating. The problem was the cleanliness of the place, or lack of it. When we arrived, all the way from Chicago, and after a great deal of travel, a 4 hour flight followed by a 15 hour flight, we wanted to lay down and relax, but this is a very hard thing to do when bed linen hasn't been changed. It is obvious it hasn't been changed when there are large, long black hairs on the pillow and through the sheets. It is pretty disgusting really, and if a hotel isn't changing sheets, what other short cuts are being taken??? upon a closer look, door frames had dirty hand prints, and the couch needed vacuuming and had dust bunnies under it. I actually showed a staff member under the couch and bed, she seemed surprised, as did the manager. We got extra sheets to put over the couch before we would sit on it, and asked for a cleaner to return, after a room service, to clean floor properly. The lack of cleanliness really ruined a great hotel for us, I do hope the hotel has hired cleaners who actually clean, and as much as we enjoyed the facilities and location, we would not return there.

Hi, we very much enjoyed our stay at the Medina, so close to the tennis and good restaurants. We had a room with very good view. It could be a bit cleaner and the Tv's are far to small and basic for a hotel which advertises itself as luxurios. The staff at reception could be a bit more informed, like how long it takes by taxi to the airport etc... But overall a good experience and we def. would go back there but please replace this old retro tv's. Thanks

Medina Executive Flinders Street - Great
Great hotel in a perfect location for walking all throughout Melbourne. Highly recommend for the price. Close to tour pickup and drop off too. Within 2 blocks of the free tourist shuttle. The Internet connection was great as is the staff.

i stayed in the studio suites
i stayed in the studio suites in a separate building accessed via 3 flights of stairs and no lift, this was a bit of an issue as I was not aware of the access and it was off an open laneway so security was a concern. however, the apartment itself was great, huge room, quiet, great view of local cafes out window and good central location.
