Citadines on Bourke Melbourne

The location is fabulous for anyone who wants to be in the heart of the city. The reception staff was friendly and helpful, but that's their job, no? The KEYS are a MAJOR problem - no matter where you keep them, they keep de-activating. Guests find themselves struggling to get them to work in the elevator and we had to have them reactivated about once a day. Matter of luck. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean with equipped kitchenette, BUT there are no proper drawers to put your belongings. We found ourselves living out of our suitcases for 2 weeks! The hotel provides soap at the sink in a squeeze bottle and all-in-one bath wash, shampoo and conditioner in another in the shower. I can live with that, but once the squeeze bottle was empty, it took three days to get it filled - only after requesting. House-keeping was lacking in the sense that we had to specifically ask for laundry bags and clean washcloths. Finally, at the price we were paying one would expect free wi-fi. But alas, that too was at an additional cost - which is pretty obnoxious when free wi-fi is pretty common. Would I go there again? No :(

The room - more of a studio than a hotel room - was excellent! Very spacious and had a kitchenette with cookware, dishes, etc. The staff was very helpful with giving directions and pointing us to restaurants following our late-night arrival. It is a block away from Chinatown and great little cafes for breakfast, as well as the free tourist bus stop. Also walking distance from great shopping (well, the whole city is walking distance for us... use the trollies if you don't like walking too far).

My stay at Citadines on Bourke was great. The location is ideal, close to many restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops. It's also a short walk to the NGV and other cultural attractions. The room was very clean and includes a kitchenette, which is a bonus. Friendly staff, too, as I was able to check in early after a very long flight. Recommended!

Great location, really nice hotel. Will definitely stay here again

This hotel was mostly very good, the staff were pleasant and helpful, the location was excellent, and it was a good price. On the downside, the bed was composed of two singles made up as one bed, and this is never good as you get that 'ridge' in the middle. The tap fitting in the sink was also loose, and quite stiff to operate. Fairly minor things. overall very happy.

Very good place to stay - clean, new etc. and right in the centre of town. Free internet in room would be good in an executive apartment.

A brilliant place to stay - great location, attentive staff and the studio apartment is cleverly designed with great attention to the details that make working away from home comfortable..good iron and ironing board, stove top, dishwasher and hair dryer, great bed and pillows and lighting.. wonderful can highly recommend it..

great central location, at reasonable price.

Very nice hotel in a great central location. Spacious, modern rooms, well furnished with all the requirements needed for a comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The reception staff were outstanding with their friendly, helpful service - they went the "extra mile" to help us with our on-line airline check in and we appreciated it - THANK YOU ! Accommodation was perfect for us, great location in Bourke Street, fantastic size and very clean.
