Funky boutique hotel in South Yarra boasts lap pool and rooftop garden
This funky boutique hotel is situated on one of South Yarra's prettiest streets, just a short walk from Fawkner Park and the Royal Botanic Garden. The building itself dates back to the 1960s, and features three floors of small rooms opening to a covered walkway. Rooms come with free high-speed Internet access, and there's a lap pool and garden on the roof. The on-site restaurant, Bloomfield Bar & Bistro, is open for breakfast daily, then again at night for drinks.

- Located in the motel part of the hotel and all based on the ground floor, the Superior rooms have undergone a soft renovation and all have polished floorboards, new super comfortable King beds and a whole new funky style along with original en suite bathrooms. With new linen, mini bars, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, iron and board, telephone/clock radio, television, foxtel and in house movies, high speed Internet, they are both accommodating and well priced.
- Deluxe room
- The Deluxe rooms have been fully renovated this year and are now the newest rooms of the Albany. Situated overlooking leafy Millswyn Street, one of South Yarras prettiest streets, they are serene and shrouded in wonderful light filtering through the trees outside. Their overhaul took them from 0 100 in one giant step and included brand new bathrooms, a funky new fashion meets rock and roll themed bedhead, flat screen tvs with foxtel, on demand movies, high speed internet access, mini bars, fridge, coffee and tea stuff, amazingly comfortable beds and soft linen with a high thread count. Try one, guess is that you will request the same room for your second visit. The room offers one king bed.

- Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of all that is offered in the area, this enchanting property is in South Yarra and is within walking distance to some of the top restaurants and a couple of blocks from Chapel street, which is one of Melbourne's prime shopping areas. The Melbourne Cricket Ground, Grand Prix Circuit, National Gallery of Victoria, Rod Laver Tennis Centre is also found within the vicinity of the hotel.

Really nice place to stay. I was
Really nice place to stay. I was able to check out late which was really helpful. Reception staff were fantastic and couldn't have been any more polite and pleasant. Cafe in the hotel was exceptional and again, first class service from staff there. If it wasn't quite so expensive - I'd be staying here every time I was in Melbourne which be very regular!

We had a really nice stay at the
We had a really nice stay at the Albany. Staff were very helpful and gave good tips. Room service and afterhours food in Rest very dissapointing and overprices. Our room was near the smoking area so the fumes tended to come into the room, but it was not unbearable. Dispite these few things we had a very nice stay and will certainly stay there again!

Great location, beautiful, comfortable, Reasonable Price! 5 minute walk to st kilda road, next to Botanic Garden and Fawner Park! about 10 - 15 minute away from Chapel Street! and 20 minute beautiful walk to City area! We love this place as we will love to go back again!
