was everthing we wanted. Rooms were clean, roomy, windows that open. Buffet breakfast was great. Staff were very helpful. Bar was comfortable and drinks were good {had the beer my husband drinks } Walking distance to nice restaurants and places of interest. Overall my friends and I thought the hotel was one of the best we had stayed in. Next time we go to Launceston we would certainly stay there.

The room was clean and tidy, The bathroom was clean but small. The location was great, in easy walking distance to the city centre. Breakfast was ok, ususal just luke warm as it is all cooked beforehand. It was good to have on site parking even though you have to pay for it.

Stayed at the Grand Chancellor
Stayed at the Grand Chancellor which was clean and tidy and in a good location. Only bad thing was that the TV volume would not go above a certain level and we could not hear the TV which was quite disappointing.

The hotel room was comfortable
The hotel room was comfortable but the decor was outdated and the bedspread didnt even match the rest of the colours in the room. There was an issue with the TV with the free to air channels being out for a couple of hours. The room service menu was limited and expensive.

This hotel is set up for short
This hotel is set up for short romantic breaks. It is in the centre of Launceston, so you are limited to what you can reach in a day by car. There are a variety of interesting things to do together - e.g. hang glide on a wire, chairlift. Food in the town is good from my experience I found the vegetarian places very good and also the fish and chips place serves great oysters.

Some services were not of a high
Some services were not of a high standard due to the new staff being employed at the Hotel. Some tours we were told were not available - we discovered too late these were available and we would have gone on these tours to our satisfaction and the satisfaction of the provider.
