Corinda is a stately Victorian mansion surrounded by extensive gardens within a short walking distance to Hobart?s city centre and waterfront.
Nestled within the grounds of Corinda are our delightful original outbuildings, The Coach House, the Servants Quarters and the Gardeners Cottage. These quaint buildings have been faithfully restored, furnished with an array of interesting antiques and converted into fully self-contained cottages.
Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and laundry, and stylish bathroom featuring rare period plumbing fixtures. Cosiness is guaranteed with a combination of electric and wood-fired heaters. Interesting collections of antiques and sumptuous fabrics form the backdrop to every 'mod-con' imaginable (e.g. television, microwave, hairdryers, CD players, hot water bottles etc.)
A complimentary welcome breakfast hamper is provided upon arrival.
Corinda's gardens are a real delight. Established in the early 1880s, several of the trees and the garden walls date from this period. Pleached Linden trees and hedges of English Box and Yew featuring elegant topiary shapes create charming formal enclosed areas each with their own colour scheme.
Corinda's Cottages represent the ultimate in privacy, style and convenience. Awake to the sound of birdsongs, then take a stroll across the cobbled courtyard into the extensive formal garden.s

the Gardeners' Cottage heavy oak beams, pit-sawn timbers and richly coloured fabrics together with a very pleasing array of antique furnishings create a cosy and intimate atmosphere. A spa bath is carefully concealed by heavy colonial cedar doors.
Convict built, the Servants Quarters pre-dates the main house and was probably constructed when the site was a convict-run vegetable garden. Blue-stone walls and pit-sawn floor boards evoke the charms of yesteryear
