Reef View Hotel Hamilton Island

Setting of the hotel and particularly the view from our room could not be any better under any circumstances. The whole island was peaceful and idyllic during our stay (despite this being at Christmas time). All staff friendly, courteous and helpful. Food quality excellent although when staying there for a full week as we did, more menu variety would have been nice. Hamilton Island itself is quite expensive, however given the setting, this is understandable. Within this context, the hotel value for money was quite reasonable.

Good central location - walking distance to main facilities, excellent free bus service on the island.

Great hotel and a beautiful place. To wake up with a view like that was amazing and the hotel has a great range of facilities such as the use of watersports equipment. Would definitely recommend and am looking forward to a repeat visit one day

Hotel is in a great location overlooking the beach, easily accessible by golf cart or shuttle bus from the airport. Room was well presented but not terribly clean - there was an empty toilet roll on the floor in the toilet on check in and the toilet floor appeared not to have been mopped. Room had two queen size beds that were both quite hard, we had hoped for a King size. Internet was $15 per day with a 300mb download limit, no wifi in rooms. Apart from these issues hotel was ok but did not really justify the price.

A beautiful hotel with plenty of room. Lovely pool and facilities. Very expensive restaurant however with average food. Big queues for breakfast and at the time of our stay only 40% occupancy. Housekeeping serviced very late in day - would be better in morning but wouldn't hesitate to stay again if the rate was good. Very very expensive to buy anything but Hamilton Island isn't for you if you are on a budget.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and our room was fantastic and the view was great. However one night we had to change rooms as there was water leaking from the room upstairs. They did not offer to compensate us in any way which I thought was a little rude but other then that it was a nice place.

overall it's a nice hotel, quite clean the swimming pool is great the waiting time for reception is sometimes too long

Hotel was comfortable but really bad food options.

A great choice. The rooms are massive and well equip. Balconies are large with comfortable loungers. Sea view rooms look out across the beach, resort pools and ocean with a good view of the whole island. I didn't find the daily room cleaning to be that effective. For example, I spilt powder make up in the sink, which stained it and wasn't cleaned all week. They definitely didn't sweep the floors as stray hairs were all over the bathroom floor all week. The restaurant service was friendly, but slow and overall the lunch menu was very unhealthy. Reception was friendly, but slow. We had to ask 3 times for pool towels. The hotel pool is very nice, but the loungers could benefit from cushions as they weren't overly comfortable. Although there were some negatives, the overall stay was pleasurable and the views and the size and comfort of the rooms made it worth it. The view from the towers is outstanding. I would definitely stay here again.
