Oaks Gateway on Palmer is Townsville's next generation in resort-style accommodation. Located within easy walk of the CBD, the hotel has a range of restaurants & cafes on it's doorstop on cosmopolitan Palmer Street.
Oaks Gateway on Palmer offers hotel, one & two bedroom apartments and is a perfect choice for families, couples or the business traveller. All accommodation options offer spacious, sleek modern dcor and spectacular river, ocean and hinterland views. Apartment features include full kitchen and laundry facilities, separate lounge and dining area, work desk & balcony.
The hotel boasts a spectacularly located infinity edge swimming pool on podium level with views over the river and city, as well as a fully equipped gym and spa.
Important InformationInfants 0 - 2 years sharing the room with their parents are free of charge, if using existing bedding and not exceeding the maximum room type occupancy. Existing Bedding excludes sofabeds and rollaways. These are charged at the extra person rate. Cot Hire is additional $20 per night.

The Oaks is vey well located on
The Oaks is vey well located on Palmer Street and a short walk to The Strand or The Mall. The pool is one of the cleanest ever and consists of a lap pool, spa and wading pool. The apartment was quite spacious and has everything you will need for a short-term stay. We would definitely stay here on future trips to Townsville.

Our 4th stay at this hotel. Only complaint was lack of bath mats. Else great hotel, clean and well equipped apartment. Only 30 seconds walk to eateries of Palmer Street.Easy parking. Helpful reception staff. Will continue to stay at this hotel.

Booking was for 3 but only one
Booking was for 3 but only one bed made up. Staff tried to tell us we had to pay for 3rd person but this had already been calculated in our booking. No bed was made up even after the hotel agreed it was their mistake and they said they would send housekeeping up. We had to have 3 of us in the one bed. Location very good, but we will not stay again based on the bed mix up.

Apart from a minor glitch when
Apart from a minor glitch when checking in due to the wrong bedding configuration being set up in the room, I was impressed with the premises and would not hesitate in recommending it. The only improvement would be the addition of a mini bar although there are numerous food outlets within one or two minutes walk.
