Had a great time as always. Still didn't expect Hastings street prices to have gone up even more that the 'double pay' standard though. Everything one third of the price over the hill in Noosa Junction.
We were in Noosa for 4 days on holiday. Didn't know anything about the place; were meeting Aussie friends here. Was surprised at how developed it was. That said, the Sheraton was a great location from which to explore Noosa and the environs. Was
totally impressed with/blown away by Melissa at the Front Desk/SPG Counter; so knowledgeable, friendly and out going. She made several great reservations for us. Rooms were large/spacious with great balcony, though in need in of updating/renovation, which I read somewhere is pending.
Although we thought we booked a room with a river view (Noosa View) it turns out "noosa" is a town view...what little town there is. We did get bumped to a higher grade room, though, and it was fantastic! Best bed on our whole trip (out of 6
hotel stays). The front desk staff was professional, helpful, and always greeted us with a smile. Parking is right below the hotel and is convenient. The hotel is on the river and there is a ferry that docks right on the premises, taking you to many other locations (highly recommend as a 1/2 day experience as you can hop on and off at your leisure for one daily ticket price. The beach is just yards away. Lot's of upscale shopping and restaurants right outside your door!
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
The ferry system will take you to many nearby restaurants and towns. Get a bottle of wine and some cheese and cruise the sunset. Noosa Head reminded me of Palm Springs, California meets Key West, Florida. Very upscale but a low key, tropical feel.
