Awesome Location, not awesome Manager
My self and my husband visited Australia from USA, we were visiting my family (born and bred in aussie), and we decided on the Outrigger because of its location, and because of it's price, well we know now that we would rather pay extra for better service. When we arrived after an extremely long flight, we book in, only to find out that our bedding, and room will not be cleaned, and we would have to pay extra for towels and toilet paper O_O We never heard of it, and kinda wished that they had explained to us before we left the states so that we could have packed extras. Then to find out that our wireless internet was down, and we called the internet people because the Manager lady told us that wasn't her problem. And the technician from the internet place then told us that they refuse to deal with the Manager and as soon as there contract is done with the hotel that they will no longer supplying them with internet. Which I found it odd to be telling a guest of the hotel, but at least we knew we were not alone with the dealings with the Manager. Then we were being charged 50c per local call, not sure if that is normal at all Hotels, but thought this to be odd as well. I wouldn't recommend this place to any family, maybe for single people who don't care for this sort of thing, but even then I wouldn't recommend it. If they replaced the Manger, with someone who is more helpful and friendly, then yes. The Beds are rock hard, and I found a silverfish climbing on me at 3-4 am. Location wise, awesome! only reason why I gave it that many stars.

the location it is a bit away
the location it is a bit away from CBD (about 15mins driving), but it does have a few restaurants and some shops around it. I got a quite spacy room with 2 double beds! It is a very comfortable stay! It has a breakfast buffet for $10 from 7am - 9am, you will have bacon, sausage, egg, beans, cereals...ect. The lady who serves the buffet is very nice and friendly! I am very very happy with this motel, if I have a chance to go to gold coast again, I will definitely stick with it!!!

For the price we paid it was ok.
For the price we paid it was ok. They need to get rid of a pest problem, their was a few cockroaches and spiders in the room. I felt that the receptionist was helpful, but a hotel with no room service to freshen up things was a bit off putting so was the $1.00 toilet roll fee and the $2.00 fee for some fresh towels after a few days.
