Been to Cairns several times,
Been to Cairns several times, but I can honestly say this is the first time we felt we were on a real vacation...mostly due to the fact that we had great service at the Rydges Tradewinds Hotel. Needed info on where to find the Nash Hash House Harrier runs and Jenny at the Tour info desk was gracious to help us with that. Needed to buy backpacks, but unfortunately shops were closed at the time...yet the staff at the front desk (wish we got their names) were able to find a couple of promo bags and loaned them to us. We also took advantage of a massage at the Spa by the Sea. Breakfast was nice and hot and we certainly enjoyed our pan fried Baramundi for dinner at the eBar. All in all, we enjoyed it sooooo much we joined the free Guest Priority membership with the Rydges. All these services under one roof and all with a smile.... Going back for more? You betcha!!!!

The room was very spacious,clean
The room was very spacious,clean and comfortable. We had 2 rooms booked. the 2nd room had a smell of smokers but as we wanted to be together we asked to have the room sprayed to freshen it up. The reception staff were up and spraying within 5 minutes and brought a room deodoriser up the following day to ensure things were good. Staff were very helpful. We ate at the breakfast restaurant and the dinner restaurant. Food and service were great.

I was impressed by the staff that
I was impressed by the staff that assisted us, from checkin to checkout, to staff at breakfast and the lass who assisted me with using the computers. I dont think its just the amenities that make a good hotel, good, friendly and professional staff make it a great hotel and I have no hesitation in coming back to stay or recommend it to family and friends.I also thought it was a lovely room with view with excellent value from [this] website

Very happy with the room and facilities
Very happy with the room and facilities breakfast at Latitude was lovely. Very disappointed with the heavy music downstairs for a wedding, and the drunken behaviour and fights on the terrace. Otherwise thoroughly good.

Good clean hotel right on the
Good clean hotel right on the water and close to the shops. Rooms were great and they allowed us an early checkin at not extra cost. Only gripe is that all the rooms don't have wireless. Will stay again next time I'm in Cairns.

You could not ask for a better
You could not ask for a better position and facilities in Cairns. Right on the esplanade but away from the noise. Fantastic service. we ate at the little bar and resturant and the prices were cheaper than in town and the food fresh and tasty. we will go back for sure.
