Relaxing night in Cairns
The hotel was in a great location and a good value. The one down side is the Spa isn't actually onsite and you have to go to another hotel for services.

Okay hotel for the price
This hotel was just okay. The location was the best part, it's right on the water (though no beach, just a boardwalk) and there were plenty of restaurants and the terminals for all your water activities were very nearby. The interior of the hotel and the furniture was very dated but the bed was comfortable.

Veyr nice hotel!
The staff was extremely helpful with checking us in and giving us recommendations for bars and restaurants. We also used Jennifer at the travel desk to book our reef tour and she went above and beyond to help us find a tour for the next day that would fit us best. The pool was pretty nice and we did spend a day lounging around the pool. Our room was nice, big and clean. My only complaint was that the one blanket on the one bed smelled dirty so i kept folding it up and putting it on the floor but housekeeping kept putting it right back on the bed instead of washing it or giving us a new one. However, I would highly recommend and stay here again!

Great stay
Staff were very friendly and quick to help with any questions. They have a desk inside to help organize and decide what tours are available in Cairns. It's a short and beautiful stroll into town along the esplanade. The beach itself is not one to swim in, but theres a pool and a lagoon in town. i do wish the spa was warm though! It was also very easy to catch a bus from here and get to nearby beaches. Overall a fabulous stay!

Convenient, Clean, Comfy
Great location right on Cairns Esplanade. Private balcony overlooking pool and ocean. Comfortable beds. Spacious & updated interior. Clean bathroom with TERRIFIC shower -- strong water pressure with very hot water and GREAT showerhead. Just what you need after days filled with tropical adventures. Super-helpful activities desk in lobby. Yummy fresh-catch barramundi in restaurant. All told, contrary to some of these other reviews, this is a GOOD hotel.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Stroll down the Esplanade about 10 minutes and go to the Night Markets. There's a bunch of all-you-can-heap-on-a-plate restaurants. They're buffet-style -- with all kinds of yummy seafrood -- like shrimp & calamari -- mainly fried, but admit it...who doesn't like fish n chips?!? Anyway, cheap eats...plus cheap souvenirs in the nearby stalls, and it's all open til 11:00 PM...so even if you get back from diving all day and take a nap, you can wake up and STILL chow down & shop!

few days in Cairns
This is a good hotel choice for the area. It is in a good location, right on the main strip, walking distance to the ferry terminal, esplanade lagoon pool, boardwalk, and shops, restaurants. The pool area is nice, the room comfortable with a balcony, and the staff professional and pleasant. Would recommend this hotel as a good value in the area.

Excursion to Cains...
The room was large, nice, and had a great view. Bathroom seemed a bit old (some mold/dirt in corners of tile), bit overall was nice. Would have been nice to have microwave as well. And there should be a warning sign on the stairs stating that the doors are locked from the inside and once in the stairwell you cannot get out - had to call the front desk from my cell phone - and was told that the stairs are not for floor-to-floor travel. But that's a minor thing, really. I'm pretty sure I'd stay here again.

Nice Hotel. The walkways and Halls in the hotel need updating. The rooms were adequate and clean. Staff were friendly and the Pool was nice. It would have been nice if the Spa (Hot tub was hot instead of the same pool temperature

Very expensive to eat in Australia. Plan on bringing lots of cash and you will need to get over the shell shock of how expensive eating and drinking is in Australia
