Green Island Resort Cairns

We just came back from Green Island and it was an excellent experience for us. The beaches are beautiful and we did 2 snorkeling for a day. The staff are all friendly and helpful to provide the best service. I will definitely recommend it and Visit there again

We took our young kids (6 and 9) in mid-April. Every stage of the visit was handled very nicely by the staff starting with checking in at the warf, boarding the ferry, and being welcomed at the island. The kids really enjoyed the included activities including the tours, walks, kayaking, and snorkeling. If the kids were older and more experienced we would have taken a day trip to the outter reef for snorkeling or diving. The fish feeding and glass bottom boat were fun. The telescope viewing could be improved with a better scope, green laser pointer, and fewer white lights, but was still enjoyable especially for the younger kids. It was fun to see Orion upside down and the Big Dipper in a strange location. The rooms were very nice, spacious, and comfortable. The house cleaning staff did a great job keeping the place up. The breakfast buffet was very good and the dinners were very good as well. I'd say they were a better value than most restaurants in Cairns. The only downsides for us were: 1. Flakey internet. They are working on getting better service in the near future. 2. Cigarette smoke blowing in from the smoking area or the beach tends to ruin the rainforest/natural feel of the place. 3. Large, noisey groups of Chinese on day trips. Just avoid the daytripper areas and you'll more or less be OK.

干潮前からのビーチのシュノーケリングは最高で、すばらしい珊瑚と魚に目を奪われました。遠くへ出かける必要はない。ただし、スポットがあり、そこを探す楽しさもあります。 ホテルの部屋にはスリッパ持参が勧められる。レストランは一つで、メニューは同じで大味なので、連泊の場合はルームサービスの利用がいいかも。

Un piccolo paradiso... Alle 10 l'isola si svuota dai turisti giornalieri e diventa un'oasi di pace... Splendido!!

昼間の喧騒がウソのような静かな夕暮れ、満天の星…。 これだけで泊まる価値があります。

ケアンズに早朝到着したので、子連れにはさらにグリーン島まで行くのはちょっときつかったかも… 娘はずっと体調が良くなかった…（無理をさせたと反省している。） さらに行きの船の中で修学旅行の学生さんたちと一緒になったのは、仕方ないとはいえ、騒がしくてがっかり… でも、船の中のスタッフは感じがよく、ﾎﾃﾙはお部屋が意外と狭かったものの、清潔でセンスもよく（スタイリッシュ過ぎず、豪華すぎず心地よいカンジ）、ゆっくり出来ると思った。 夕方、静かになってからのグリーン島は本当に美しかった。 滞在者同士 交流も心地よいものだった。 夕食も良かったが、朝食は雰囲気も良く、とても充実していた。 娘が体調が良くないのもあって、日本人スタッフがいるのは心強かったが、そうでないスタッフのもてなしの姿勢、配慮も良かった。 特に娘がベッドでモドシテしまった時のベットメイキングの女性の対応はありがたかったし、夜中に体温計を持ってきてくれた女性にもとても感謝している。 グリーン島に行くなら、やっぱり宿泊することをお勧めしたい。 いろいろなｻｰﾋﾞｽが含まれているので、むしろかなりリーズナブルだと思う。 スタッフの皆さんありがとうございました。 親の配慮の無さで体調をくずした娘は、ケアンズに戻ってから病院に行き、大人し目ではありますが、ケアンズを楽しめました。 日本の戻る頃にはもうすっかり元気で、帰るのが惜しかったくらいです。

一緒に行った母がグリーン島に行く朝に　具合が悪くなり　荷物をターミナルでチェックインした後に　病院へ行くことになり、予約した船に乗れないことをホテルに連絡したら、丁寧に対応してくれて病院へ行った後に乗れる船の手配をスムーズにしてくれました。 帰りの便も予定とは変えて早くしたのですがその対応もすぐでした。 １泊だけでしたが気持ちのよい時間を過ごせました。
