Relaxed hotel with saltwater pool
Leisure or business travelers who want to sleep in a peaceful area without staying too far away from the center of the city should consider the Coral Tree Inn Cairns. Set a few blocks back from the Cairns Esplanade, the hotel sits next to a park. The tropical Munro Martin Park provides a leafy retreat for guests who need to take a momentary break in the midst of a busy day of work or touring. The hotel -- which offers traditional guest rooms and self-contained apartment suites -- also has a pool.

Due to be tiled thru out the complex and the cement walls the noise echoed thru out. I found it extremely noisey. Peoples voices, toilet and showers running people dragging their bags down hallways made it almost impossible to have a peaceful nights sleep. The room did not look anything like the pictures on the internet. There was no bed coverings over the sheet and only two thin scrappy cotten things were provided for the coolness of the early mornings. If there was more than one person occupying the room there would not have been enough blankets to keep the early morning chill away.

The hotel was excellent value
The hotel was excellent value for money, conveniently located near the main shopping and eating areas and in walking distance of the Reef Terminal. Beds were comfortable. bathroom was adequate. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel and would stay there next time.
