Budget-friendly property offers wide range of accommodation styles
Those traveling on a tight budget can look to the Cairns Sunland Leisure Park for some relief. The family-friendly property villas and cabins are some of the best bargains in the Cairns area. Sunland is a short drive from many of Cairns' top attractions -- including the Flecker Botanic Gardens and the Cairns Esplanade. Most of the cabins and villas can comfortably accommodate families or small groups. Sunland has a large resort-style swimming pool. The property is in walking distance to supermarkets, taverns, restaurants, and parks.

Excellent facility, but not the best neighborhood
Althogh I incorrectly booked a site for a camper, a villa was available, and I was upgraded with no problem. The facility was very beautiful and well-kept and transportation into town was easy via the city bus which ran every 30 minutes. However, I was informed not to walk about outside the facility after dark as mugging rates were the highest In the entire Cairns area. Had no problems during the day, however.

This is a great place to stay,
This is a great place to stay, it is close to bus stop and local shops and diners. i had a budget villa which had a full size fridge, toaster, kettle, tea and coffee and milk. the staff were friendly and very attentive, the pool was lovely, i dont have kids but there were some there when i went and they were having a ball with the pirate ship and slide. Shared bathroom was clean and usually had it to myself. i would definitely stay here again.

The staff at the reception were
The staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful. My family and I really enjoyed our stay and look forward to visit next time. It is a very good accomodation that met all our requirements and we also enjoyed the privacy, peace and quiet and the pool.

Cairns Sunland Leisure Park
Right next to the pool was great. The reason I picked this location was based on what the ad stated. You do need to take a bus or cab into the city which wasn't bad but not what the ad said. This was not a cabin which is shown in the ad but a trailer. I was under the impression by the ad that it would be large enough for myself and three boys. They were happy but I was surprised. It is a clean park and the one gentleman that was behind the oounter was very friendly I was just very surprised to walk into the park and see the cabin that is in the ad but to walk up to our "cabin" which is a trailer I have to say that when we arrived on Saturday on Sunday when I took the bus into the city I did go looking for a hotel. The boys loved the fact that we were right next to the pool so we stayed at the park. Just surprised to find it so small and not one of the beautiful cabins that is shown in the ad.

The only thing that is in walking distance is an IGA super market for groceries; that was good. A McDonalds that is right next door to the IGA. I did not travel all that distance to eat at McDonals. The bus takes about (depending on how many times it has to stop to pick up others) 20 to 30 minutes.

Fun, affordable living getaway
The is a great idea if you like your own space and having the kitchen allowed us to cook. This is a spacious park that has BBQ grills and laundry facilities through out the entire park. air conditioning, full sized fridge and stove/oven were great! The Pool area is fun and had a deep end with slide and fountain. The Staff here is friendly and very polite.

If your a night owl anything on the Esplanade is great from gelati to the night markets its all great when your buy the sea.

The worse, Have traveled for 30 years absolutely terrible, scary, would not go back even if you paid me. Speaking of which do not forget to refund our money. Covered in ants. Slept with the carving knife next to the bed. Scared to death. You may consider this serious so I hope the compensation is on it;s way before I have to seek representation. Long time customer very disapointed

Buy a large knife before booking in you may need it...Staff leave at 10am no comment on them.Also it is described as a caravan park, if you put this in your description it would change the way people look at it..Leisure park-caravan park it is not the same thing..There are no words to describe the following survey however I have some pictures maybe you would like to show those in your brochure???? you will be if I do not get some satisfaction soon.
